You will get you anus reamed out because you voted to have your anus reamed out without any hope of lube.

That was their "research". That should effectively dismiss the personal blame once they get to the acceptance part of the stages of grief

I need a better pixelly version.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It isn't a coincidence that the absolute assholes at school end up being the most popular. People go along with the bullying to avoid becoming targets themselves and eventually end up believing it. Same shit.

Would you be so kind as to tag your posts? 😄

10 months ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 17

Just days ago this was a sure way to put a comment into Earth's mantle. There were even calls to -not- tag political posts.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I comment similar things not infrequently, I either get upvoted or hated. Personally, I just want all politics and gripes about politics off *my* Imgur.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

hell, last time we rode this train and we had no way to filter out tags, I advocated for folks to mute people that spammed this subject and got sent to my room by the mods.

Hm what did they say? they deleted the comment

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Something along the lines of “Arrogant if you to assume you’ll come out unscathed by his policies…” Not an exact quote, but the gist is there.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow they really look a lot from a simple request for tags eh

You hope for just 4 years...

10 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I've said it al ot recently, and though I am not proud to think this way, trumps next term has to be so catastrophically bad that it's remembered for generations. People are going to suffer, but then there's 70m+ people that need to see just how bad this type of regime is, and to do that, they need to experience the pain that comes with giving MAGA full control

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

LOL! You think they're gonna blame Trump? There's always an excuse, and it's never his fault. No one who voted for Trump will ever admit things went to shit because of Trump. Ever.

10 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Hell I learned before COVID. That's why I had P100 respirators.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

THEY fucked around, but now we ALL have to find out.

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

If we havent learned by now...

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Evidence proves you do not learn fast enough for it to matter.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That seems unlikely.

Last century was called “the American century” but Americans seem to prefer letting someone else take charge.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If I've learnt just 1 thing from history, it's that you won't.

10 months ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 3

Will I haven't thus proving your point that I disagree with. Chessmate.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some will. Some will not.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's a group project, and if one person doesn't learn from it, all of us are doomed to repeat it.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Funniest?
I call bullshit as right-wing comedians are terribly unfunny.

10 months ago | Likes 420 Dislikes 13

Bullying trans and gay people is 'funny' to the right-wing.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No no, they think cruelty is hilarious. Stark, blatant cruelty and lack of empathy, picking on the weakest and most vulnerable, that's Trump's comedy.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Right wing comedy is just confident bullying.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Its easier to be the funniest politician than the funniest comedian, since traditionally it was hard to get elected if you were a painted clown

10 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Not any more it ain't.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Conservatives are unintentionally funny and extremely so.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Yeah, but they're mean and stupid people don't know the difference

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

They laugh at jokes that are meant to degrade groups they don't like openly. Which is every group other than them (ahem- cisgender-white-straight).

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If it wasn’t for all the terrible things he does Elon is fucking hysterically stupid. The whole “I’m dark gothic maga” line is like a child telling you what his Halloween costume is.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

when people hate their lives enough that they hate to see others enjoy their own lives, they enjoy punching down, and there are comics enough who turn punching down into jokes, that these people can feel validated in their misanthropy. It's not funny, but that's not really why their fans are laughing at it

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

I can't remember who it was, but I was watching a YouTube video talking about Jim Breur and maybe Jimmy Dore. The commentator said that these comedians were looking for applause, not laughter. If you watch a clip of these comedians, you can't unsee it.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Have you seen Jim Breuer lately? Oof.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yea but it makes the right people laugh.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's not funny. He doesn't joke, he just mocks, insults, and belittles. And he sure as hell can't take a joke.

10 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

How many jokes can you really make about hating your spouse? Conservative comedy just isn't sustainable.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think this is one of the factors that really radicalizes right wing people deeper. They don't have any enjoyable funny late night shows and comedy. Their media is almost all hate based

10 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

It is now. They used to have stuff like KOTH.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

King of the Hill is not right wing. It satitirizes that aspect of American culture.

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Their existance is almost all hate based

10 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

They're funny to the people who were already assholes but didn't admit it to themselves.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

If Trump wasn't an existential threat, the stuff he does would be hilarious. Not intentionally and we wouldn't be laughing with him, but hilarious

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Tr45son is nothing but clown shoes stomping around the nuclear button.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't know like. They do have some hilarious skits here and there. Some of the funniest jokes come at the expense of the left (whom I am a supporter of).

If you can't laugh at yourself, what's the fucking point?

Humor is humor. I'm not talking about insults and bullying being PORTRAYED as humor. I'm talking about actual comedians taking the piss out of our (sometimes ridiculous) stand on a number of heated topics.

Stop taking yourself so seriously.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 4

Haha, I just imagine someone reading "stop taking yourself so seriously" and instantly being like

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Enjoy your joyless life you sad bastard.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I mean, thanks? But I'm not the one posting multiple replies to myself here, my dude.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm all for good comedy and definitely don't take myself too seriously. I'd love it if you could share some examples of good right-wing comedians using humor to poke fun at the left.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If a comedian made their political standpoint known they wouldn't be very good comedians. Any that are opening left or right are almost guaranteed to suck.

Ricky Garvais and Jimmy Carr spring to mind.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I think Ricky Gervais is funny

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Bill Burr is a funny comedian. He pokes fun at the extremes of the left along with the majority of the right. His politics are definitely left-leaning.

Gervais hasn't been funny for like 8 years and half his jokes now are just about hating trans people (decidedly a right-wing pasttime).

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't understand why Trans jokes are off limits?
Comedy is Comedy. It is an art form. When I was young it was dead baby jokes, then HIV jokes, black jokes, gay jokes. I am Italian, I grew up on Italian and Polish jokes.
Look at Anthony Jeselnik his dark humor includes a lot of pedophilia- and if you have a sense of humor it's funny.
Lossen up Francis.

"the people are safe depositories of their own liberty, and ... are not safe unless enlightened..."
- Thomas Jefferson

10 months ago | Likes 132 Dislikes 3

I'll remind everybody that at the time only wealthy white (mostly) educated property owning men could vote and Congress chose the president. So... Thomas Jefferson also wrote extensively on the tyrant of the majority and that democracy, if opened to everyone, would devolve into ignorant mob rule

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

How do wealthy property owning white men lean politically today?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is that a rhetorical question? Seems obvious

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well... The current Republican party is made up of two distinct factions; the capitalist top 5% who own most property and businesses thru stocks and bonds and banks and only care about lowering taxes and regulations on themselves, and the uneducated masses that care about organized conservative religion and dislike immigrants and Brown people. Educated white middle class men that own small amounts of property and business interests are surprisingly progressive on social issues and even taxes 1/2

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Trumps voters are not intelligent or mature enough to understand buyers remorse, or the concept of self awareness. So the entire concept of this meme is imaginary to begin with. Stop pretending they’re human. They aren’t.

10 months ago | Likes 72 Dislikes 31

Dehumanizing those who do awful things is a cop-out from the unsavory parts of humanness. Hitler and Charles Manson were human.

10 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

They are. Like it or not they're people too, and dehumanizing them like this is wrong, and won't stop them.

10 months ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 9

You spelled fascist wrong.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are barely sentient assholes who have killed off our Democracy with their fucking ignorance and laziness. Fuck them and their existence.

10 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 5

yup exactly. I've tried to reach out and discuss topics with them. There is no discussion. They genuinely believe America would be better off under Trump the fascist. They also don't learn from or understand history. The brainwashing is so embedded I might as well be talking to a parrot. It's sad. I'm also furious because these fuckers are ruining the lives of actual, good people.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's extremely important to remember that these are people.
It is people that do monstrous things. They are not inhuman. They are regular people have this in their heart.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Look at Germany in the 40s. They believed in Hitler- so did Americans. Henry Ford was a big Hitler supporter.
Hitler showed his true colors and the MAJORITY of the people saw the light. Their were still faithful Nazis because some people actually believe in that shit.
We need to watch what is being taught from the pulpits. They are pulling the strings now.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dehumanizing our political opponents.

10 months ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 6

Nazis aren't "political opponents". They're Nazis. And no, I don't have to be nice to Nazis.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

If they are not your opponents, they are your allies. It’s up to you to pick, but I wouldn’t go that way.

Isn’t language fun?

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

"political opponents" is an excellent way of whitewashing "fascists"

10 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 4

Fascists are still human. Shitty, terrible humans, but still humans. Remembering that helps with combatting them, hard as it is.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

It doesn't whitewash them. The fascists are our political opponents, and humanity is well capable of fascism.

10 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Who are still human beings. Which makes them more dangerous.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Bruh, stupid I will entirely agree with but not human? Aside from being deliberately dehumanizing, it's also hilariously wrong. Humans are ALL ABOUT being dumb, panicky animals. We excel at it.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Autocorrect why do you keep betraying me today

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah so you agree with their belief that non human people and sub human people exist, and have moved the arguement to deciding what group of people are sub human filth that should be removed. Do you now see why we shouldnt be calling them non human? you undermine your own ethics. Calling them out by their own actions and stances is enough.

10 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

While I fundamentally agree with the point you're making, there's a big of difference between the belief in sub-humans as a demographic and the belief that a human can lose their humanity through action. The very concept of a legal system (if not justice itself) is based on the notion that society can restrict freedoms/undermine human rights (punish) to those who violate the humanity of others (do crime). OP is radical, but doesn't undermine any ethics if they sees trump votes as criminal.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I get it but I would raise the point that still raises the question of what action makes someone sub-human? we would probably agree that being a bigot but it still changes the dialogue, they would then argue transitioning makes you lose humanity. it also makes it harder for people to deradicalise or even realise they are in a cult, we all imagine we could spot a radical but its harder when its geoff your mate who lent you his mower. you know hes human so the people calling him trash are wrong.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be clear what these people are doing is vile, But a portion of these people arnt "evil" nor do they consider themselves evil. they are hurt, lashing out, literally manipulated into thinking this man will help them. they are bombarded with propaganda literally 24/7, I have heard 1000s of stories of people parents and friends who were good people but got sucked in. hell I almost did, I noticed. It is a machine built to drag people to that creed. Calling them sub human gives them no way out.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

excellent points all around. I personally think the neglect ones place in a social environment is inherently a self-dehumanizing act because it is to the detriment of another's. I don't think it's binary and immediately switches you to "non-human" nor do I think it's permanent. Dehumanization is a state one assumes in a moment that judgment only applies to these moments. In this, it is the failure to acknowledge one's faults that makes them "less human." Ie: because humans are capable of 1/2

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Villains are made, not born.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

I really think you're overestimating the intelligence of the average Trump voter.
Also, an insight from bitter experience: Trump voters want those things to happen, they just don't want those things to happen to them. And when they do happen to them, they blame Democrats.
Because the difference between Trump supporters and a bucket of shit is the bucket.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But it IS going to happen to them.
THAT will be their awakening. Granted, not all of them have a conscience.
When those tarrifs start hitting their pockets, when the mass deportations start causing them food insecurities- you are going to see a mass burning of red hats.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They're not going to wake up. Trumpers are stupid, and they've made a huge investment in their ignorance. They will do ANYTHING to avoid having to admit that they were/are wrong

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is a dumb take and exactly what causes the left wing to push away those that may come over. How about the 15 million Dems that sat out again?

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 7

Those 15 million were also colossally stupid.
