Fines should be tied to wealth. Otherwise it’s a free ticket to breaking laws if it’s penny change.

2 years ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 1

Bet you TFG wouldn't say MAL is worth 1.5b then!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some places they are. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day-fine

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

exactly

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They are in court trying to work out his wealth, working out how much the fine would be, that would be another court case

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But if the fines keep doubling with each violation, he'll owe over $5,000,000 in total fines with his 10th violation. Of course, regardless of how much he's fined he'll never pay one red cent out his own pocket. He'll fund raise (i.e., con his supporters) to cover the fines.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Agreed. Otherwise it’s literally just punishment based on social class.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Cheeto isn't anywhere near as rich as he always claimed though. Especially now.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe not but I doubt he’s in the same tax bracket as his voter base still.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He must have run out of orange shoe shine, but it's only $5.49 and 'in stock' https://easyshoecare.com/product/pale-orange-shoe-cream/

Where'd all the Orange go?

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

He sweated it off

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

A whole $10k? Wow, he'll be poor in no time. Now let me get a refresher: If I, a random citizen, violated a gag order, would I be fine, or jailed?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Didn't sleep well last night, eh Donny. That tossing and turning counting each day in prison will keep you up for months.

Perjury charges don't have to be brought immediately. You can drag his ass back to court later.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That’s not Trump! He’s not orange.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

A reminder that any normal person (read: you or I) would be cooling their heels in prison while all of this circus is going on.

If his hair leaves I hope it takes him with it.

Considering he's nowhere near as wealthy as he pretends to be, that might be a bigger blow than it sounds.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Incremental steps of severity...

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

They have to fine him like they do everyone else so he can't claim he's being unfairly punished by the courts

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

They should have a Three Strikes rule. He does three contempts and goes to jail.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Agreed, but the punishments have to be in increments that adhere to the law... to avoid an appeal from trump that he is being unfairly targeted. Knowing trump he can't stfu so jail is inevitable.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

He’s going to say that anyway. They could punish him with a ‘tsk-tsk’ and a finger waggle, and he’ll still claim to be a victim of persecution.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The point is totally going over your head, in your over simplified mind you are oversimplifying the issue. As long as the courts adhere to the fines and punishments the law permits trump doesn't have a legal argument to support his claims of unfair prosecution.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You’re, unfortunately, misunderstanding my light hearted critique of his character and, somehow, responding to it as though it were an argument of some kind for his situation in court.

It’s alright, oversimplified minds tend to read into situations that don’t exist, so I don’t blame you.

I was just saying that, regardless of context or judicial outcome, he will always play the victim — as his history shows. It’s not an argument for or against proportional fines. Calm. Down.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

and he left the courtroom and claimed victory in the case. he only has one way to do things, lie his ass off.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Man it would be nice if those actions had consequences, something tells me he’ll get a slap on the wrist.

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 1

I think this one is a civil trial not a criminal one. There's so many pending it's hard to keep track though.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I meant the perjury, I presume that’s still illegal in a civil trial lmao?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Perjury pretty much never gets convictions.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ah fair enough, shame.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Let’s give some credit where it’s due. No one has done more to normalize makeup, let alone diapers, among men than Trump

As opposed to his usual polished orange turd patina

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he’s a ghoul and I wish him a painful slow death.

2 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

How long before he goes for pity points with the cosby/weinstein strategy and starts coming to court with a cane

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Hairdresser money running out lol, he’s been paying some dude a shitload of money to do it every day

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not rough enough. He needs a pine box around him. I hope coke head and Eric bury him in the golf cours enecf to their mother.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is he not allowed his orange clown paint in the courtroom?

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

He probably sweated it off

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

If he can't pay his lawyers, what makes you think he's got the budget for makeup people? Especially since at this point even he has to have wised up to the fact he can't dip into campaign contributions for that any more.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

I don't believe for a second that he "can't" pay his lawyers. He has a multiple-decades long pattern of choosing not to pay his bills because he's a grifter.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Since when did trump have the epiphany he can't misuse his campaign funds?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Since he has to reimburse whomever he promised those classified documents in the bathtub to.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You think they will sue him to get their money back? "Hey judge I paid to buy American top secret documents from trump, I am not fully satisfied so I want a refund"......

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He doesn't strike me as the kind of person to have those kinds of priorities straight. He'd absolutely pay a stylist before he'd pay a lawyer.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

And he absolutely does. But what I was saying is he can't afford to even pay the stylists now, because he's busy being an 80s real estate mogul. Which is to say he's financing his addictions and the window dressing to his projected lifestyle while also trying to figure out how to pay back whomever he was going to turn over the Bathtub Documents to, not to mention all the hush money he's paying Meliana to not turn Federal Evidence on him.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

He looks high as fuck

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't these fucks always try to look shitty when they go to court? Like Weinstein, right?

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Remember cosbys pathetic attempts?

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I half expect him to flip and pull a Weinstein, and beg for mercy based on how old and frail he is.

2 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 0

His entire career and personality are built on him being strong. He's incapable of intentionally showing weakness

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

His ego will not allow it. Not yet.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

Old and frail is not a legal defense

2 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

Defence no, but it's one of those factors in sentencing that can make the trial a bit of a moot point. If he slides on that, I hope there are riots, because that's bullshit.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Didn't one of the people scamming off of his wall get a slap on the wrist because they were old?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't do shit for Bernie Madoff

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It's not totally moot, it's still a conviction

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

A conviction without consequences is pretty toothless. And it's not like republicans will care, they'd still vote for him.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I hope he gets Epsteined.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Might need some ultra heavy duty rope for his lard arse.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't. I hope he has a long and miserable life behind bars.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would be acceptable also, I want him to suffer for all the damage he has done to this country and for the normalization of Christian-Fascist political fuckery that his brand of lunacy has inspired. There are a bunch of others that I’d like to see in jail also.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not rough enough

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

And there was no consequences. this man is gonna die of old age before he ever sees the inside of a cell. Zero consequences so far, this country is a joke

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

Agreed. It's so infuriating how much he gets away with.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

As I keep saying, these judges know that the moment the door swings shut, there will be literal blood in the streets when the MAGATs take their guns to rescue Orange Jesus from the cross. They ask themselves if it is worth it and say "No".

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I live deep in Trump country and those people all almost always all talk. They're not going to give up their easy lives for being shot back at. Much easier to spew their bullshit online. Their numbers are also dwindling daily. Unfortunately there are a few ultra crazy nutbags that will take lives and get themselves perished in the process like the Maine shooter. I don't believe there will be some "blood in the streets" war or anything.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

he currently trying to appeal that 10,000$ lol

2 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 1

I sure hope his lawyers don't charge him considerably more than that figure for the time it takes for him to appeal it... and they lose and pay it anyway

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

It's not like he's ever paid his lawyers.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I'm all for the trump flagellation but that supportive #TeamCohen hashtag has me tasting vomit. No one forgot you're the shitbag that enabled him for over a decade.

2 years ago | Likes 438 Dislikes 6

He did his time, he’s recognized his role, and now one of Trumps harshest critics. I don’t like him but I like how kind he hates the orange monster!

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'll still allow it. Anything that helps to bring the Orange Pig Anus crashing to the ground is top drawer in my book.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’m sure there’s a book brewing after all this. The man who brought down a president.. sorta deal

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Good on him for doing the right thing now. But.... fuck you, Michael Cohen

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The extent of Credit that I will give to Cohen is that he's, at least, pretty much the only former Trump ally that is cooperating with law enforcement who isn't doing it in order to get a plea deal. While the good publicity is still a personal benefit, he at least has some of the least personal benefit out of all of it. It's also like he has no risk either, as he continuously draws the ire of Trump and the accompanying condemnations and "subtle" suggestions to his cult to attack Cohen.

2 years ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 0

Just because he will flip when he sees the writing on the wall doesn't make him any less of a traitor himself, if anything moreso.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I like what he's doing also, but you're wrong on zero benefit. Cohen co-hosts on a show called "political beat down? I think" on the Medias Touch network.. Hugely popular and all they do is bag on DJT. Often the most popular show in that timeslot for all of utube. Its where homeslice makes his money nowadays. He even has been making plans to run as a Democrat.. Forgetting that D voters are hella better informed than R voters and will never forget that he said he would take a bullet for DJT.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I didn't say he's getting no benefit, I said he's getting the least personal benefit out of it. A potential living as a political commentator is a benefit that falls far short of avoiding many years in jail and 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars in fines, like the others who flipped on Trump get out of it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

People are allowed to make amends and he's destroying trump with his testimony so alls forgiven in my eyes

2 years ago | Likes 46 Dislikes 25

you need glasses my guy. no one allows evil bullshit for that long and suddenly gets a pass when convenient for them to turncoat. fuck outta here i ain't Jesus

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He isn't doing this because he cares about what's right. He doesn't want to go down with trump. I think he still should, if not officially, then unofficially

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm not going to be calling for him to continue being punished for past actions he's now exposing but I also feel no obligation to assume anything but the most cynical version of his motives for doing this. He's already written two bestselling books about his time working for Trump and this is by far the best promotion for them anyone could possible imagine

2 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 0

I totally get your perspective, but I also much prefer he make money off of selling books than selling our country, and he really has run the gauntlet of penitence.

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Spoiler: He's gonna keep doing both.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

On what basis?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So what...I don't mind seeing Cohen make tons of money off trump with his books as long as he slides that noose around trump's neck

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 7

If he reks trump then retreats from politics forever. Then im on board for forgivness too. But hes gotta do both. No using this as a way to turnaround and come back into the oublic eye for his own binefit

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Why not? I don't get this mindset that Cohen can't benefit from his experiences with trump, that he's not allowed to financially profit from his story, it's ridiculous

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 3

He's a useful idiot, nothing more.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

For whom do you believe Cohen is a useful idiot? On knee-jerk reaction this sounds like a conspiracy theory.
