This raccoon runs like a cartoon villain

We've had three young raccoons hanging around the outdoor cats, waiting for the morning food. I hate to wait until it's sunny out to feed Lynx and Dale, but I don't want the little cat-killing bastards around.

He'd better not come around *my* cat like that -- Tom once chased said raccoon up a tree: a *sixty-foot tall* tree. Nobody fucks with Tom and his food...

I imagine him doing a high-pitched "Hee-hee-heeee!" laugh as he runs.

Where do you think the cartoon villain run-away came from?

That's a younger looking racoon, be careful with your cats around racoons, full grown racoons. Full grown racoons would regularly pick off the barn cats.

Easy way to solve this is to keep them inside like a responsible pet owner.

Cats cant get in fights with local wildlife if they have no access to the local wildlife.

Barn cats aren't pets. There are no freeloaders on a farm and cats are no exception they are there to keep rodents out of the animal feed, grain, etc.

Barn cats are invasive creatures that destabilize local wildlife and should not be a thing. Find other alternatives and better storage practices instead of fucking up the local ecosystem.

Fuck that stupid "no freeloaders on a farm" bullshit excuse. They are still pets and those who let them roam outside are irresponsible owners. Period.

Things I don't have: cats, a barn, racoons nearby.

That's likely because once the raccoons took the cats and the barn, they left.

It's a real problem.

This, 100% this... But I also watched a 6 lb female stray cat fight off a large raccoon. Next time I saw that raccoon her eye was milky white and she stayed clear of our back yard.

That little cat only lost a little of her floof.

Oh yes, Tango was a big softie when you went to say 'hi' but he was a unit of a cat and an absolute thug. He tangled a few times with racoons and came out on top, lost part of his tail, a chunk of an ear, a toe, and a decent chunk of flesh along the way. Even so his luck did eventually run out.

And this is why my kitties are 100% indoor only
