Dude! I'm looking for a 3d printer thomas bangalter helmet, can you do such a thing? Name your price :)

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Wonderful work! Did you digitally construct the models or rip them from the games?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I usually start with a lot of reference material including a low poly .obj. Then I build my own model to be better suited for 3D printing

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you post a link to your etsy store, you would probably get a flood of orders from here.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I don't know when I'd use it aside from Halloween but I want one.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No Skyrim Dragonpriest mask? I'm disappointed, internet. Not you, OP, you're doing fine.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a few in my other posts

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Huh, so you do. How do I get?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is that clay or plastic molds?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3D printed. I clean up the models with bondo, high build body primer, and sanding. Long process but worth it in the end.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So where does one go to purchase such delights?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Search for me on Etsy. Happymaskprops Imgur doesn't like it when I do direct links apparently

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How do you color them?

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I typically finish with hand painted acrylics. My airbrush still needs practice

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Crayons

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

3D printed, hand finished. I use high build body primer, bondo, and a lot of sandpaper to get them to this state.

9 years ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 1

How much do you charge?

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Badass!

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm intrested in having a thing made

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thats amazing work, dude. They look wonderful.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

What printer do you use?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I own 3 currently. A flashforge creator pro, hatchbox alpha and lulzbot taz 5

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hey, I saw you in denver this year.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Real talk, I want a model from a game 3d printed, would you be able to do something like that ?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do you do commission by chance?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do, I have an Etsy shop where I take a lot of custom orders

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Do you have a website?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How much for a soldier 76 mask

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't made one yet, I will probably price it similar to my other pieces though, $90 unpainted, $135 painted

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

YAY! Another question for you. How much would it cost to get Vash's gun from Trigun?

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I haven't tackled that one yet. I imagine around $130 for a painted piece, $90 unpainted, $70 for raw plastic

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Jesus! You must have a huge printer! or are they made in segments?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nearly everything is printed in 3 pieces. It is just a lot of post processing to get them to turn out this way

9 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well they look amazing! Good shit man.

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Impressive. But $_$ with some diluted acetone spray you could cut out some serious line time. Cash out and bro down!

9 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

I hate the smell and mess involved with acetone. I much prefer working with my hands and sanding each piece. Plus I primarily use PLA

9 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

I have been using MEK for PLA. It works ok and doesn't smell too bad.

9 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

MEK is fucking terrible bro. I don't know how you can stand it.

9 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have heard that an acetone bath (not just vapor smoothing) can work on some brands of PLA (perhaps containing a small percentage of ABS).

9 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but any time I need a large amount of flammable liquid to make a prop look better I always think there has to be a safer way. :)
