I don't know what sound I expected a capybara to make, but that wasn't it.

I've read that their biteforce is the highest among the big cats, they are absolute top of the food chain in their domains

This is likely the original source for some of this footage: https://youtu.be/4jn7vKJrCxA?si=adj-2fwtfi2qQkfV

Anyone know what show this clip came from?

Drags that thing like it weighs NOTHING

What they don't explain in the video is that the bite of a jaguar is powerful enough to pierce the skull, killing the caiman almost instantly.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

That is literally said.

This is why I keep my cat indoors or on a leash outside. Cats may be cute but they are natural born killers of the native wildlife

"The way I had it figured, toruk is the baddest cat in the sky. Nothing attacks him. So why would he ever look up? That was just a theory."

Amazing video - big cats are top predators and I wouldn't want to be in the water with them around

2 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Jaisus that cat went a while without breathing

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So the Cayman got away that time?

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

We can only guess on the outcome.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Noticed how it waited for the caiman to go past so it would be jumping at it from behind as opposed to doing straight down. Smart. Didn't work this time.

Hunting by using yourself as bait and eating your attacker. That's rad.

That's rad! That's really, really rad!

"I'm not locked in here with you. You're locked in here with me!" - Jaguar, probably

The feline form is the ultimate expression of physical evolution. There is no other assault system that does so well at so many things. It could be argued that jaguars are the highest expression of the feline form due to their comfort on land, in trees and in the water. Either way, I want to give it scratches.

Seriously. That jag was looking for some river puppies.

Absolutely metal. Jaguar and Honey Badger, same spirit, too bad they're immediately fuck each other up.

Hey, spoilers! ;)

Upvote for the use of "Rad" which totally needs to be brought back.

2 months ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Is rad or radical more worthy? Ras is shorter which has natural advantages but radical is a fun word

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I would say use rad when describing something ("that drum solo was rad!") and radical as a solo exclamation as if you were a Ninja Turtle ("Radical!").

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Radical has a specific emotional meaning that is difficult to express without that word, so I feel using it like the word Epic would ruin its epicness.

Killing a crocodile with your face is about as metal as it gets

The jaguar has the strongest bite of the big cats relative to its size, probably for this very use case, biting directly through the skull of its prey.

That’s a caymen?? I thought those were much smaller

2 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

There was only one of them so it's a caiman

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

There are 6 caiman species that vary quite a bit in size. The black caiman is the largest crocodilian in South America with a length of up to 6 m / 20 ft.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Omg, they legit made all these crocs smile in the poster 😄

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, the artist took some liberties. But their relative size looks about right

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't care - it's adorable!
