I had a moment in 2016 where I was like......we are never gonna stop hearing his name again are we? Even when we had a new president, he still made the news every day and his ugly bloated fucking head in news blurbs or in random image searches. Its insane how we cannot escape him and even when he dies I think it will be the same and that haunts me.

I legitimately only hear his name here and on YouTube. Quit watching the news, get off social media, go on a hike/go to the beach/go outside and touch grass. We were never meant to be connected 100% of our lives. That's not to say you don't need to be involved in politics at all, but give yourself a break now and again. I took a few days off work this summer and went hiking and got out of cell service and it helped me a ton.

Hardly ever. Stressing about the news when it's literally designed to use human psychology and our penchant for _wanting_ bad news to feed you bad news over and over and over again so you keep reading made me mostly give it up. I'll read big stories and some local news once a week, but that's it.

Like + sub to all content types you want, I turn off notifications so my phone isn't blowing up. "Don't recommend channel" to any suggested one you can't stand. Hit "not interested" on anything in your feed you don't want. Thumbs down + "not interested" to things you've clicked, then go to history and remove them. Takes some time but it works for me. Ex: I get fed tons of new comedians and podcasts but no right wing ones

Will it ever end? Some will undoubtedly say "when he's dead", but I learned my lesson the last time - no, I think Imgur will be 90% "Trump this, Trump that" even decades after he's dead.
