I see what you're saying and agree to a point. But America is no longer operating under the same framework. You have an active, hostile takeover that appears to be fascist in nature or at the very least right wing authoritarian, and it is proceeding at breakneck speed. I would argue the time for niceties and the traditional version of decency is over.
