This may sound stupid and mundane but the fact that I was able to buy this puppy without having to dig deep into my bank account or get myself into debt, that is for me an amazing feat.

I have been slowly getting my financial things in order and recently stumbled over this colour fridge. I didn't know you could but other colours because I never looked into the things. I was using an old battered fridge that belonged to my grandma which she bought at the end of the 80's. The brand doesn't even exist anymore. The fridge was loud and the sealing rubbers degraded to gross black mouldy things. Energy efficiency was not a thing people worried about back then.

I decided I needed a new one but having no savings, it's hard. I set myself up to save every month an amount and that was depleted after my cat had to see the vet in the weekend.

This fridge isn't just a new fridge. This apparatus stands for the fact that I am able to look into the future and set myself up for things that need replacing. I am almost 40 years old, I never had savings. Lived day by day and always ended up with a part of month left after the money was gone. This can die in usersub, I don't care, I am just stupidly happy with my fridge and with myself.

Edit for anyone wondering about the stove top and who wants to look inside:

Deadset thought the brand was "Wolfenstein" for a minute. Nice fridge! I get where you are coming from too.

I love your beautiful red refrigerator! Stuff that thing with goodies and enjoy the hell out of it!!!

Was wondering that too.

And the great thing with buying a new fridge is you are saving so much energy.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes! I have a new thermostat and it's digital and I could see the electricity peak when the fridge turned on.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Beauty fridge. Just so you know - many, many of us have been - or are - in the same situation but never talk about it.

There's a company named Smeg that sells fridges just like that for big bucks. Good find, my man!

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

There’s a new Canadian company called iio that sells a fridge that looks exactly like this. I think the starting price is $2000 Cdn.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh wow, that's a lot. These cost around €400 in Germany, and they get good reviews.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I, too, choose this man’s fridge.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I have so many questions.. whats up with your stove? where are the burners? whats the red thing over the fridge? why is your kitchen so cute

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

and tiny with lovely blue walls and charming tiles? just..where is this??

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I like in the Netherlands and this is just a regular housing flat. The tiles are a vinyl with print!

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's adorable and I love it. congrats on the fancy fridge!

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Stove has a lid I put down for this, red thing is an expansion vessel for my central heating, I don't know why it is so cute! I am>

Surprisingly good at decorating a house.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Man no wonder Americans are fat, our fridges are like twice that size

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

And everything else is bigger as well. Doorways are really small abroad too. Have to turn sideways if you're really big.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I think this is the biggest fridge I have ever owned.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That is the sexiest fridge I have ever seen

Hee hee. I see what you did there.

It certainly is the James Bond of all the fridges. Well done to the gentleman.

That's very creepy. Don't fuck the fridge. And OP saved for this fridge. Let's be respectful.

Appliance guy from Arkansas, USA. This fridge and oven are really cool! Never seen anything like them. Any inside pics? ?

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

These ovens are pretty common in Europe. Are yours much different?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ours look pretty different. I don't think I've ever seen a home oven with covers on the burners (just on a caravan/rv). I can't tell the 1/

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

width from the photo but in the USA a standard oven is 30"/76.2cm. Not as common to see knobs on the front so kids don't touch. 2/2

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I can! As soon as I am home again I can upload some. Fridge is nice and clean but the oven is quite grubby right now.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That’s a lot of knobs on the oven!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Four plates plus temperature and heating mode for the oven, looks pretty normal to me

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Plus a pilot burner that acts as an automated igniter but doesn't work because my gas pressure is too high.

Is that a shrimp drawer?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

@op show us your shrimp!

I will definitely not. Very undignified.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

What, your fridge doesn't ha e a shrimp drawer? How do you even live?

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I am crying

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't cry. You, too, will one day be able to afford a shrimp drawer.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's like a really tall mini fridge. A skinny fridge.

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Spotted the American.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You reside in North America, don't you?

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I have 4 kids, a larger refrigerator is a defense mechanism.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Maybe try martial arts instead?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

How do you think I managed to have 4 kids in the first place?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

By not being good at martial arts?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I do and I wish I could have chosen this fridge. The standard here is HUGE. I wanted a smaller one, but my husband did not, so ours is huge.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

You have one of those fat double door ones?

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Yes, AND it has two bottom drawers, one a freezer and one a flex drawer. There’s just the TWO of us. It’s excessive.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah that is a bit much, when I grew up we had a fridge slightly smaller than the one pictured, but only fridge, separate freezer, it was ½

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Oh damn! I live alone and definitely would think this is overkill.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks, pretty, but very dominating, like it's not your kitchen, you're just allowed inside on occasion.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

1) Awesome fridge. Good jorb. 2) that tile is swank! What are you talking about? That's legit Czech cred tile design right there.

4 years ago | Likes 612 Dislikes 2

"who looks at titles anyway"..... Not you, I guess :P

4 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 0

I read it as tiles too!

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Me too, then looked at the tiles for a bit before reading the rest and realized it was never about the tiles...

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

He said "titles" not "tiles" :). Got me confused as well at first.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I thought it said titties for some reason

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some reason...

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always upvote jorbs.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Now you could use a range or a hotplate on that oven, but that's a fight for another day. Enjoy the primo fridge.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 3

The lid is down on the stove. There's plenty hotplates under there, judging by the amount of dials.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

4 stoves and 2 dials for the oven (heat and mode).

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

5 burners (one pilot burner for auto ingintion) and 1 for oven, 1 push button for gas in the oven, piezoelectric thing.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's my guess too.. are the individual burners called stoves?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I think so. I'm ESL myself, but I'd probably call them stoves.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Good Jorb!

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Coach Z?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

As a Czech, I've literally never seen that tile in my life. But we are known for ceramics and glass

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It's also vinyl not tile. I live in the Netherlands, I don't know where the czech vibe came from.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. You have to understand that Czech culture in America refers not to modern Czech culture but to one diaspora that settled here way back.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Young women wear Kroje, Pivo (not nearly as good as real Czech beer) flows, constant polka music, and kolache everywhere. It's nothing like

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What Czech culture is today, I'm aware, more of a mishmash of various traditions splashed with some made up stuff. But that kind of pattern

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of patterns we call Czech in the US.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you talking about the floor? Because that's vinyl. I wanted something very busy in the hall and the kitchen so I found this.

4 years ago | Likes 115 Dislikes 0

I love your fridge! Also feel free to give any tips about getting your financial shit together...asking for a friend ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

the fridge is the perfect colour for that kitchen I am really jeally

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Ah! You're title says "title" and I read "tile." Go to bed, self, you're drunk.

4 years ago | Likes 140 Dislikes 1

I did too! First thing I did was look at the floor- which is an awesome floor btw

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

WTF...I read tiles too. I guess because the pattern is so strong.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I did the same - thought it was referring to the single patterned tile on the wall, just over there vibing

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Wow, I read titties and scrolled down to see a empty kitchen

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Appropriate title then lol

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Yeah, good jorb! ;)

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I’d like to know about the oven ........... it has a lot of dials, but no stove tops ..... it’s confusing to look at.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It has a lid

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It probably has its lid down. Some oven models, especially gas ones have a metal lid to cover the cook top.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I think the entire top is hinged to reveal the burners. I was/am confused too. Need confirmation!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Confirmed!

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s what my engineer brain rationalized, but it’s like Soviet erra machinery so logic doesn’t necessitate

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Metal cover is on, some european models have a metal cover with a hinge, acts as a backsplash when open.

4 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

That's brilliant! I would love a stove top like that.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Well, good choice.

Thank you. :D
