You may not want a lot of color to distract from or influence what you're working on. One reason why applications like Photoshop, Blender, etc. have very neutral gray user interfaces.
Stellar paintings! As a MA of Fine Arts and someone who teaches (not painting tho) at one of Europes leading art universities I have to admit that I often think paintings on this site go too far into kitsch (or not far enough), or are paintings by beginners who have not yet developed an understanding of materiality, colors (pure/unmixed) or composition. This is not the case here. Unique painting style, good choice of motifs and you have a good eye for light and shape.
...Put some flowers over there, even if they're fake! Splash paint all over, even if it's not a mistake! The home of an artist should be colorful, indeed. In these dark times, more color is just what we need... (love your paintings. the muted palette is very well done)!

Beautiful! Very evocative style, even with such ordinary items and settings or maybe because of that.

This looks like the work of someone who is absolutely compelled to make art.

Been a while since I've seen someone remind me so much of Andrew Wyeth. Nice work.

Love the light on the first one. Well done

Yeah, I think the first is the best of the bunch (which is not to cast shade on the bunch).
