The only person "of note" (no disrespect to the other victims in any way) was "randomly" the CEO of Blackstone's REIT - arguably the single organization most responsible for our housing crisis. The others killed were an employee of the leasing office for the building, a security guard, a police officer outside.

He bypassed what would probably be a full (although late in the day) headquarters office for all things Blackstone Real Estate to find the CEO's office and kill her before turning the gun on himself. I'm not saying I know anything, but I literally wrote my best friend like an hour after she was announced as killed saying these exact things. It's,,,very serendipitous.

The shooter got off on the wrong floor, yes. But it belonged to Rudin Management, which is a New York real estate firm, yes. But the person killed was not the CEO, it was a young woman named Julia Hyman.
