Here is a multi piece overlapping silicone prosthetic age makeup.

#share_your_craft

It starts with a sculpt on a lifecast form. #share_your_craft

The sculpt is “broken down” and “floated off” to facial pieces made for proper molding. This ensures no undercuts. #share_your_craft

The appliances cast in encapsulated silicone. #share_your_craft

A nice lil gullet.

Mid application.

Ready for color!

Thank you for checking it out!

I will tell people I am wearing this

How old is this supposed to represent? I think older people are less wrinkly now, due to less smoking and better skincare.

We went for an 80-85ish

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wow this is epic, do you do this for the film industry ever?

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes! Definitely for film.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

That's awesome but we kinda need to see a 'before' to really appreciate the magic, ya know?

Already skirting the no selfies rule, and you can tell from the mid application image subject isn't that old

But we can't see if they still resemble the original actor. If they just want a random looking old guy they wouldn't use prosthetics.

This is a basis of comparison for art. Not a mirror duckface. you're just out bleating with the other goats.

You're not a mod and that isn't a rule. Get over yourself.

This is a lot more convincing than the CGI aging they do in movies now. Do you work in film? If not, you should!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I do! Agreed.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy bologna! That’s absolutely seamless!!! Especially around the eyes! Absolute perfection!

Thank you so much!

Dude...that's easily as good/better as anything I've ever seen in movies. I hope you're getting that bread. You're talented!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thank you so much. The hustle continues.

BFD. I can look like that without a prosthetic

You don't look a day under 50.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Looks good, but I'd need to see in in motion before I'll revise my "Just hire old people instead of uncanny valley makeup/CGI aging" stance.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Except I already look that old.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Kind of looks like you were a burn victim more than an old person

That's a lot of effort for the early bird 10% off dinner special for seniors

Looks good. Too bad they make the show *Face Off* anymore.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I wanted to be on that so bad but its only for Americans and im Canadian.

I Wish I knew you in high school, it would have saved me the hassle of that fake ID!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh I remember you! You did the pregnant belly & arm that had been carved up & sutured!

Made me laugh again

Its unnerving that the uncanny valley is there.. i knew on a glance it was amazing prosthetics but i dont know where or why! Eyes maybe??

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

"Uncanny valley" as in Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk ... ??

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think it's the eyes! Real life old people tend to have kinda glassy iris or pink/red in the white bits at least from those I've seen

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the nose, imo, its a focal point for the face and it has transitions around the nostrils you can see easier

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Skin is very slightly translucent (why you can see your skin light up when you put a flashlight directly on it). My guess is we cannot see/1

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

the very subtle translucency, evident around the edges/corners where the skin would have a minute "glow" for lack of a better word. That,

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

/2 plus the absolute lack of any sheen caused by facial oils (again, also very subtle) but that one I'm less sure of.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

GF and I think there is a hint too little sag at the cheekbones.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought maybe something with posture. The last picture has less valley effect than the first, but he's slouched and relaxed

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It looks really good but something's off. I can tell right away it's not real. Why is that?

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Distance between mouth and nose, seems very slightly too big, so face looks stretched (thats what seems off to me)

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Humans are good at detecting fake faces, which is why there is the uncanny valley etc.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Probably his hairline and perhaps his youthful eyeballs. Contact lenses would help, but they didn’t have budget for that or a wig.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's the ratio of liver spots to winkles
