That does seem suspicious.

Edit: It's also weird to me that the shooter supposedly rode a Greyhound bus from Georgia to NYC, but he's from PA, and went back to PA afterwards, just waiting to get caught?

Where'd he get on the bus, then, and why was he there?

I'm gonna be looking for answers to those questions before forming an opinion on this.

If the brows aren't split you must acquit!

If it’s brows not brow, you must disavow.

9 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Yes. Everything fell together really quickly. I have no opinion of this guy, I don't know him. And there are so many murderers who get away. The one they want to catch just falls in their lap? I'm not an investigator. I work in IT. It's just good to be subjective.

He did have a ghost gun, the same id, and essentially a manifesto so...

Nothing about this makes sense. He took the gun and his manifesto to grab a burger at McDonald’s, and he doesn’t even look like the guy in the freeze frames from that morning

9 months ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 3

I'd bet money he doesn't live to see trial. The video in his cell will mysteriously stop recording and he'll "hang himself"

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Also, he didn't change at all when doing so... Days after the shooting, and the clothing was the only thing police had to go on. Seems HIGHLY convenient.

9 months ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

It wasn’t even the same jacket though. There are at least two, if not three different jackets shown in pictures of people who are supposedly the shooter.

9 months ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

I think they just want to try and squash any peasant uprising ASAP and this guy is a patsy.

A grainy AI enhanced security photo, versus a close up. Come on people!

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The deed, not the actor, is the truly important issue here. And the deed was FUCKING FANTASTIC!!!!!! So let's go, jury nullification, and get on with the next one.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I thought the brows and eyes looked different too. The preliminary pics look like the guy has bigger eyes. I know it’s probably the angle - but I didn’t think he would look like that.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Brows are definitely an interesting observation.

The bus he was supposedly on ran between NYC and Atlanta but they don’t know yet where he got on.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He is the suspect in the light colored coat. Not the shooter in the black coat.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah. Looked at some of his other photos and they do look similar.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Has anyone consulted Alex Jones? Perhaps an insurance exec didn’t get murdered, and this is all a hoax.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a low resolution CCTV. It isn't accurate enough to pick up the partial hair between his eyebrows. My dad had a similar problem. He started working in a job where they record on similar CCTV. When he saw the playback, his hair made him look like a clown due to his male-pattern baldness. His hair had thinned except for the very top of his head and the far sides. The camera rendered the thinned middle as if there was no hair, leading to the clown look. He decided to go full bald since.

9 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 3

Here's the bottom line: they have the weapon. If ballistics hasn't already been done it soon will be. Science don't lie. I know a lot of you want this to be a big conspiracy, but it's not.

9 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Science may not lie. The people who will report on science's findings are well known to lie. If you doubt this I admire your naivety and urge you to look at all the things related to tobacco, uranium girls, sugar, and myriad police cases.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The way people are doing backflips in here to try and make it ‘not the guy’ is weird to me. It’s most likely him, and that’s ok. He now gets to stand up and let the world know why he did it, and I can’t help but wonder who will be listening.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Should we start a Luigi did not kill him self hashtag?

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He’s a Rambling Man.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Eh, a bit reaching. As a bald guy, certain cameras just don't pick up on hair, and rather shows the skin underneath. I'm shaved now, took the plunge last year, but it was definitely a noticeable difference in looking at yourself in a mirror and on photos.

They found someone they could pin it on to make other CEOs feel safe and that Justice was “served”, that is all this is. “Found with the gun and his manifesto” what the f?????????????????

My wife said I was crazy when I pointed this out!

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I love how he was creative, pre-planned, cunning, and elusive enough to slip the largest police force in the world, evade capture in a nationwide manhunt, and make the authorities look like fools, until they caught up to him where he had left a dumb easily-followed trail and carried his manifesto on him.

9 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

We can surely attach a narrative to something that makes him look like Jason Bourne, but so often real life doesn't match TV.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it's the same as all other aspects of life for me, really... I want something, anything to be good. I want things to be the coolest or best version of themselves, it just doesn't happen.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He's just a patsy.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Browscaping?

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ok. But didn't he say something like "I'm sorry, it had to be done"?

9 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

That's what they say. If it really is him, he must've been trying to get caught, because why would you still be carrying ALL of the evidence against you with you, 5 days later, and go from hiding to acting weird in public?

9 months ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 3

Wouldn't be the first person taking credit for someone else's crime for glory.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Idk bout that but i heard on the news he didnt plead anything. Which is weird. Why wouldnt you plead not guilty unless they are coerceing him?

9 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Why would you be carrying everything that can connect you to the crime on you, when you were to such great lengths to hide your identity and get away?
(And where TF was he beforehand, to have arrived on a bus from GA?)

It's entirely possible that it's really the guy, and he's suffered some kind of mental breakdown that's affecting his decision-making, but it seems equally possible that this is somebody else taking credit for something they didn't do, after seeing the admiration for the shooter.

9 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

If Luigi hates them as much as he seems to, then taking credit for it will absolutely tank any opportunity to find the real killer, and could have disastrous blowback if the can't conclusively prove it was him.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Also, not sure if this is relevant because I'm no gun expert, but - I was definitely expecting a weirder-looking gun than the one they allegedly caught him with, given all of the media coverage describing it as even possibly a "veterinary gun". They made a big deal out of how unusual this gun was supposed to be, and this...just looks like a normal gun to me.

9 months ago | Likes 80 Dislikes 7

The Welrod gun was the first possibility. Not a semiauto with a slide. If you watch the video it totally looks like a Welrod or Veterinary.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 4

Tbh it's more the opposite if you take a look at the footage he had a gun malfunction and had to clear it. Both the malfunction and the action to clear the malfunction are physically impossible on welrod style cattle guns. I don't know where the rumours started but the press being super typical did not do their due diligence.

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What do you mean a veterinary gun? I have not heard that in any of the news stories. They are describing it as a ghost gun which just means it doesn't have a serial number. It was probably constructed with a combination of parts bought online without serial numbers as well as 3D printed parts. I mean Glocks are pretty much half plastic to begin with.

9 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

There were several channels talking about it. I saw another one on CNN.

https://nypost.com/2024/12/07/us-news/cops-probing-if-brian-thompsons-killer-used-veterinary-gun/

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It was supposedly a 3d printed gun from what I read idk

9 months ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

The NYPD was just making up shit. There have been gun experts (ones who know the B&T VP9 well) who debunked that right away. The police assumed he was using gun that needed to be manually cycled, but he was using a crappy gun that jammed. That pic is a 3d printed glock clone receiver with a glock style slide and barrel. You can buy the 80% "ghost gun" versions online or download a file to 3d print.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

i thought it was a 3d printed "ghost gun"

9 months ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

The frame, which is what the ATF regulates, is 3D printed. It's a DD19.2 by chairmanwon.

9 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Great, rather than fix healthcare we will have old men who are so tech illiterate that their Betamax VCR has been flashing 12:00 since Reagan was in office attempting to make regulations on additive manufacturing.

Glock 19 Gen 5 with a threaded barrel?

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

and where is the silencer he used?

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Early reports were saying that it was a "veterinarian gun", like a Welrod, because he was reported to be manually cycling the action each round, which is something you would do with that kind of gun. However, it seems more likely that he was using a 3D printed gun like seen in this photo, and the fact that he was manually cycling the rounds was probably because he was using subsonic rounds, and the spring was intended for normal rounds.

9 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Looks like a Poly80.

9 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

The silencer that was 3d printed with it?

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3-D printed

9 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Glock?

9 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

Supposedly a ghost gun? I heard people describing the gun he used as either being a bolt action, or one that at least required clearing the chamber manually between rounds. Maybe this gun operates that way? Again, I have no idea, but I was expecting something different.

9 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

It also doesn't look like a gun that anyone would confuse with an obscure WWII era gun to me. I heard "experts" speculating that one, too.

9 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

All that is required for something to be a "ghost gun" is that the frame/receiver be homemade as it's the only part that requires a serial number. In the case of a glock or other polymer pistol the frame is plastic anyways so 3d printing it doesn't make it seem that different but the frame rails are metal on most polymer pistols and if a 3d print isn't done well the weapon won't cycle properly. Other than the frame and suppressor this was just an off the shelf glock in all likelihood.

9 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Go on YouTube and find some gun related channels. They were very critical of the claim that he was using a Welrod style weapon. Saying both his motion was inconsistent with a Welrod, as well as the gas discharged from the back didn't make sense if it was a Welrod, and finally if you step through the frames of the shooting you'll see what appears to be a slide of the gun moving back and forth.

9 months ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Garand Thumb has probably the best video on the subject.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So the conclusion is, this gun is plausible as the weapon in the video, or no?

(Not being contrarian, here - I'm really asking your opinion on it, because you seem like you know about guns.)

9 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

To my eye it looked like a Glock with a silencer on it. Not a Welrod.

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes. They conclude it is a malfunctioning semi-auto pistol.

And one more thing regarding the grayhound bus:
"NYPD investigators told FOX 5 that bus did originate in Atlanta, but there were multiple stops along the route. Right now, police aren’t sure where exactly the shooter boarded the bus." https://www.fox5atlanta.com/news/united-healthcare-ceo-shooting-nypd-atlanta-connection-unclear

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The shooter was decently informed but not an expert. Was a standard pistol with sub-sonic ammo with a suppressor. Without adjust properly the suppressor throws off the mechanics behind the “reload”. (Someone with experience would have known this). Thats why he had to manually rack the slide after each shot

I think what you're seeing is a manifestation of the public's appetite for him to get away with what he's done (allegedly), and to see if it's for the reasons they've been assuming he did it for, which are reasons they're highly likely to agree with.

If I were this guy's attorneys, I'd be pushing for a speedy trial, because with public opinion right now, it's gonna be hard to convict him, even if they have him dead to rights.

9 months ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 2

If he is guilty, I honestly cannot see a defence that will get him off. The Jury will know that if they find him "not guilty" then they risk sparkling copycat killers, who'll just use the same reasoning. It doesn't matter how much of a PoS the CEO was, or how many people he may have killed because of his policies, the killer still committed a premeditated murder. I understand the level of social injustice people feel, but if he goes free then all hell could break loose, and not just for the rich

9 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 21

Only need one person on the jury to refuse to convict regardless of the evidence/guilt. Have you seen the discussions of "jury nullification" lately?

9 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I have, which brings up 2 issues..

1: Because of all the posts about it a Judge can remove a juror if there is evidence that they intend to nullify.

2: In 1988, the New York Court of Appeals found the “mercy-dispensing power” of nullification “is not a legally sanctioned function of the jury.” A judge can make instruction to the jury that they “must” find a person guilty, if they found he committed all of the elements of his crimes beyond a reasonable doubt

9 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 7

2 is not a legally binding instruction. The jury can still find whatever they like.

9 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

What you're failing to take into account is how many people WANT copycat killers. Based on what I'm seeing, people would celebrate more insurance CEOs getting killed. I'm not saying it's right mind you, though after spending over a decade fighting with insurance companies to get my patients covered for basic life saving treatments I will say I can understand the resentment leading to that desire.

9 months ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

Oh I know people want more CEOs to be murdered, and I get it, they're PoS people, but more murders won't solve the issues at hand. Kill a CEO and another takes their place, to do the same shit that the Board wants done. More security details for the CEO and guess who foots the bill...and if it gets too much they just yeet their $$$$ at Politicians to protect their interests

9 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 11

You're not wrong, I was just pointing out that your statement that people won't let him off for fear of creating copycat killers is bad reasoning because that's precisely what they want. I'm not saying it'll fix anything, I'm just saying that people are so sick and tired they just want to see more rich people face their mortality, one way or another, regardless of the long term implications.
