There is a thin thread attached to his chest and then strung up to something out of frame. He leans forward, it slacks and the thing resting on it lowers. He leans back, thread goes tight, thing raises. It's why he waves his hands around in a cylindrical motion rather than all the way around.

I've been checking steam once a week for a while to see if it's out and played the demo twice, trying to get different things to trigger. There was a room with a lot of chairs, I don't remember the dialogue but I jumped from chair to chair, thinking if I did that for every chair that it would cause something to happen. Nothing did and I wasted about 30 mins. Fun though.

Hah, thank you for the patience! The game is almost ready and I promise you there are a lot more interactions in the full game like the one you were expecting. In fact I'm currently working on exactly this. I'm literally walking trough each level and if an area is boring I add some kind of sign, sound or interaction. Also I'm trying to put some hidden ones, based on the objects you have and where you move them. Apologies it's taking so long, I've been updating the main Steam page when I can
