Might surprise you that extended cab trucks are being pushed as the "new" family vehicle. With fewer regulations on their safety, thus a higher profit margin vs cars, they are the ones that car salesmen push on people more than others. I know the meme of big truck = big bigot is quite common, but the big truck is the "new family car".

I bought a retired government truck from an auction and it sure looks the part, but it starts up and runs every time. I use it for dump runs and helping people move because idgaf if someone's furniture scratches it, someone ran it into a tree at one point. people keep spouting horrible opinions to me because they think I'm one of them. I usually cut off the conversation with, "Ok, Bye. Trump lost." Then as I'm leaving I can see the confusion and they question what they just heard.
