I think what's lost in translation with most people here (maybe us included) is that natives faced a genocide, so killing more of them is just more genocide.
The Confederacy didn't face a genocide. They faced a justified war and then continued killing the powerless when they lost. So saying "we didn't kill enough confederates" can and probably is being taken by most in a non-genocidal context. As in "they kept outright attacking and killing people, and we didn't do enough to stop them."

In any case, mirroring the rhetoric is one of my favorite tools to show hypocrisy, but it only really works as a one-way mirror in this context. So most people here won't see the mirrored rhetoric as genocidal, so they won't see an issue with it. Granted, Coulter fans don't see the issue with Coulter's either, for entirely different reasons.
In any case, I think we can all agree genocide is bad, and so was the Confederacy.)

When I was a kid I grew up with my grandpas stories how the US saved Germany from the Nazis and Hitler (we're Germans, he even was in the NSDAP but told me to never repeat his failure of falling for a Nazi tegime). So when I learnt (some time after my grandpas death) that there are a lot of Nazis and white supremacists in the US hiding behind "freedom of speech" I was shocked. But still believed the land of the free could reign them in. Seems to much freedom for Nazis is a very bad thing. :-/
