I'd seen the first clip a bunch of times, but not the second. Don't know the movie, but holy crap the soundtrack in that second clip slapped me in the face with a memory: Ray Lynch's album Deep Breakfast. My parents had the CD in the late 80s.

It's been so long since I've watched Gentleman broncos, and I've never watched the all the scenes edited back to back, that I just realize they altered the continuity between radically different styles of The Yeast Lord (Sam Rockwell) between scenes to purposely disrupt continuity. The way these scenes are cut in the movie, spliced between scenes of the main storyline in the real world, amplifies the otherworldly & bizarre feel of the fantasy/sci-fi sections.
