Was anyone else watching Mandalorian and get annoyed when the show suddenly switched to this guy?
goodtimehadbyall
Got to be now son. Daddy has to go do something to help billions of lives get snuffed out...
FlintNorth44
IT'S JUST A FUCKING FRANCHISE.

I wanna see the forest moon of Endor so bad!

This episode blew my mind. I never thought about the logistics of a galactic empire falling and the new republic taking over.

Awesome

Trollero
Not familiar with it, what is Coruscant?
breadedfishstrip
Star Wars planet. Basically the entire planet is literally covered by thousands of layers of urbanisation. Rock in back is top of highst mtn
Problemwoodchuck
For not having a lot of Mando in it, that episode was much better than I expected.
ILikeToCallItLostWages
It was definitely one of the better episodes of Mandor
NacLac
They gave the story time to breathe. The first one was a mad dash from planet to planet.
Lichelf
Which is why they should have cut this part into chunks and spread them throughout the episodes instead while Din travels.
That would have been fair

Coruscant is in Manhattan Beach California, even!

This was how I felt at Disney stepping into Batuu the first time… I turned around and watched my 59 y/o father start crying
AkademicEpidemik
Did the kid get to touch the tallest mountain in Coruscant?
JoeT85
Probably got arrested for trying
No kids allowed

And no littering!

I gotta say I loved that bit of world building. Totally felt like what a real cloud city would do
wiltsjunk
Same
AreYouABadPerson
Less cloud city, more hive city. Coruscant is layer upon layer upon layer of construction. Like, a thousand+ layers of it.
And that lil' boulder is the only visible part of the planet left.
onlyawfulnamesleft
The sci-fi term for it is an Ecumenopolis. An entire planet-spanning city. Hive City implies a single giant heap rising off the ground.
Yes, I am fun at parties.
GreatOdinsTaint
The fact that this character didn't see the blatantly obvious coming was a bit much. Overall a nice world building episode though.
SPOILER*Also, who the fuck walks out of a control room of a device that could liquify someone's brain and leaves some rando at the controls?
NomadFeetWanderingToes
As someone who works in a hospital, yea that made me scream inside lol.
jimmythehat1
He was too focused on his end goal that all the red flags just looked like flags
69thStPepper
I generally liked the character, but his episode was a long meandering tour and his "death" was pointless
Carlillo
Felt like the middle 35 minutes could've been 10. At most. Pointless repeated scenes, too.
Probably could have had another action scene for the cost of animating the glowing popsicles
PineappleLoopsBrOether
It was to demonstrate how enemy agents are placed passively to do the most damage from within. That was a huge loss for the good guys.
Oh no, the government we know is going to fail is super incompetent! We have to spend a whole episode demonstrating it being infiltrated!
Your folder "I have something for this" ... is empty https://imgur.com/user/69thStPepper/favorites/folder/4501127/i-have-something-for-this
All my folders are empty, I only have one post that isn't hidden
Katy O'brian's character wasn't just taking him on a tour, she was manipulating him the whole time to eliminate him as a threat to Gideon's-
-plans without blowing her cover as a sleeper agent in the process. It's the long story arc bridging the seasons.
You get it. I also saw the point.
Sonicschilidogs
Was expecting a kidnapping TBH

is that the taxi driver from american gods? he was good
Yep. Salim
Asadsadsadclown
I think you mean Dr. Jagu from the critically acclaimed Space Chimps franchise.
rhubarbarian
I think you mean D'jinn from the 2017 DuckTales reboot?
I think you mean the terrorist with radiation powers from the unaired Heroes pilot
Madcaplaughs84
Salim Not Salim.
Bolkstoff
I really hope they get to finish that series, I loved the book and thought they did pretty well with the show.
WhiteyHead
I think the show was better than the books. The show made more sense.
RibbleTPibits
Book(s)?!?
Yeah, there are a bunch of novellas. Monarch of the Glen, Black Dog, Anansi Boys
minqapoc
Afaik, it's canceled.

Last season did go veeeeery WTF. All out I'd say. Alright I only remember the naked guy on a swing.
bobislost
i was pissed they dropped orlando jones
ZebraCockSandwich
whhhhat? He was great. why'd they drop him (haven't seen the last season)
jones says it was the show runner didn't like the character and implied things, showrunner says he wasn't in this part of the book
BroseidonKingOfTheBros
Which, tbf, is in line with the book lol
I guess because of aphantasia it doesn't feel the same 😅

Spoilers!!
The guy gets his whole brain wiped because of betrayal. *DUN DUN DUNNNN*
NarratesTheDarkerStory
Betrayal? oh shit, I thought it was a hilarious prank by a new friend!
I was so mad at her.. He wanted to do SO GOOD and she set him up ):< She's a great character to hate and the actress definitely portrayed it
joshybones
Cool but, who the fuck is your character?
Hammertulski
Like many shows, this question can be answered by watching the show itself.
Not really. Random ass unimportant character.
NoNameFred
He's a recurring character, appearing since the 1st episode, showing both that Imperials weren't all 100% evil & that Din wasn't just a thug
Narratively, he's been an important part of establishing the Mandalorian's characterisation, ever since he didn't kill the Doctor in Ep. 3…
So he's a random ass unimportant character.
In so much as Greef Carga is too, or Mace Windu was in the Prequels, sure. Everyone except Din & Grogu are random ass unimportant characters
ConfederacyOfDunces
Today @joshybones learns what an "extra" is.
He had an entire episode dedicated to him. So, not an extra. Just a waste of an episode.
