Via https://www.cnn.com/2025/08/18/health/texas-measles-outbreak-declared-over

This outbreak was also responsible for spreading to Oklahoma, Kansas, and New Mexico, and there were 3 cases reported in N.M. last Thursday that DHS officials there indicated were part of the larger outbreak starting in Texas.

Texas DHS has also recommended that trying to push for acceptance of a measles vaccine is actually driving people away and so vaccine messaging should be reduced or eliminated.

To give you an idea of the outbreak, of the ~1350 people who have been reported with measles so far this year, 762 of them (more than half) were reported in Texas only, from THIS outbreak. Which is still confirmed as ongoing in the bordering state(s).

CDC had sent a whole 3-person team there in March, but had to recall it in April due to all those jobs being cut, so it's not like there's any legitimate oversight.

"Our measles outbreak is over! And it certainly isn't because we just stopped REPORTING a lot of cases. Nope, we'd NEVER do something like that!"

"We stopped recording cases and our numbers went down. Crazy."

"And we changed the definition of 'outbreak' too! Mission Accomplished ™️"

'We stopped testing and the numbers dropped to zero so obviously there is no problem'- Republican logic

Shouldn't have had to have been 'over', it should have been prevented in the first place.

The number of cases also dropped during Covid when they stopped reporting them.

"If they didn't report it, we wouldn't have such high numbers"...

"Texas Department of State Health is not exactly the most reliable source...", and they're the experts, then I have to assume they're lying.

2 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Well, they fired the scientists, or at least the ones that won't say what they want them to, like "This could have been prevented if only we had the 10 commandments in every classroom".

It's a political organization, not a scientific one, and in Texas, that means it's just a propaganda machine.

It’s not criminal for public officials to lie to you. Most states protect public officials who cause harm to people. (If you were looking for a law to UPDATE, this might be one)

This administration is working hard on hiding everything and refuting science... so... everything here is unreliable.

The CDC has to route all their announcements, health updates, warnings, and everything through the Whitehouse now. Even when the center got shot up last week, JFK Jr posted photos of fish he caught on a weekend trip before he said anything about the shooting. We still have Covid, bird flu, measles, food recalls for listeria, ect going on. Good luck trying to find info on any of it though.

2 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

They still haven't said anything about the shooting. They don't fucking care.

2 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh damn you're right there was a shooting. Fuck the news!

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It made the headlines for half a day. Something like 100+ bullets fired. Just had so many other fucky things going on so it wouldn't even make the front page.

Firearm incidents at schools don't even make the headlines now unless it's local.

We live in a society where mass murder is normalized and accepted

They couldn’t be more obvious in in their deliberate efforts to ensure the most amount of people get it, probably fanning the flames to other states as well.

Is this the same state that chose not to publish deaths caused by Covid to lower the number of deaths under the Trump regime?

2 weeks ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

They also stopped recording women's mortality rates to hide the numbers of women dying from easily preventable maternal issues.
