I wasn't the other guy, but nah, you.csn do without plastics and limit the plastics you do use. 3D printing garbage, even if you used recycled plastic for the print, is pretty bad and produces lots of micro plastics. Could you not, whittle this same thing out of 2 blocks of wood? That's rhetorical, I understand the ubiquitous nature of plastics, I just don't like the defeatist attitude of "oh well, can't get rid of them so might as well make as many things of them as possible".
