The Ozempic shortage hit Canada. Ironic that people are taking the drug to lose weight, and I can't lose weight because I'm too sick from the alternative medicine I had to take to stay alive.
Also, I have several family members with pressure washers, but none that would respond to requests to let me use them for a minute. Then it got too cold.

I asked my younger sister, who works in a veterinary clinic, to arrange some puppies like six months in advance, and kept reminding her, but I guess I wasn't serious? I don't know, usually I can rely on her to be up to shenanigans.

I don't know how I didn't manage to get to karaoke even once. Like, it doesn't count alone in my own apartment lol

I need to stop giving away the stuff I make. Also, I was sure I'd be able to see live music in a venue that wouldn't guarantee I would catch covid, but alas.
Little sister pulled through for the picnic though! We went to the park near my house and I made a small charcuterie. We had fun, though several wasps thought they would test us; we did not succumb to the pressure. At all. Ok, we left after less than an hour and went to Starbucks, but IT STILL COUNTS!

The night market was extremely overwhelming and I forgot to take a picture for this list until I got home, so here's a picture of the Japanese cheesecake I bought there.
I had some bids on some shelving at an auction from my dad's work (embassy moving buildings and they wanted all new stuff, so auctioned old furniture) but never heard back. I don't know.
I arranged some of my pins on a pin banner, but haven't finished the ones that go into the Ita bags.
Diamond painting was a cheap Temu purchase. Believe it or not, the image is supposed to be Mario.
The needle felting isn't finished, so I didn't count it, but I embroidered some flowers but then gave it away before taking a picture, like a damn fool.

No bingo winnings, and I forgot to take a picture, dang.
The Halloween bags were CRAZY. I usually make 12 bags and ALWAYS have leftovers. This year, I guess we had more families, because all 12 bags and all of my extra full bars/chips/candy were given away as well! Which is good, because I don't need junk food, and I love that the kids, especially all the families that are new to Canada and Halloween/Trick or treating got spoiled! Some kids would reach into the bags I held out to them because they thought I was giving out candy from a bag, but no sweet babies, the whole big reusable shopping bag is for you! Such a great night.

I am going to make chocolate chip cookies. I have never baked anything from scratch before, and if they turn out I am going to give some to my neighbour and her two young sons. Last year, they baked and brought me a plate of cookies and it was SO SWEET.
Aaaaand rant over. I don't really have friends beyond people I used to hang out with who all posted happy birthday on my Facebook, which was great! My younger brother, older sister, and sister in law couldn't even text me, but whatever.
I don't want to be vengeful and not give Christmas gifts to people who never even text me, but I am so tired of being taken advantage of. And I feel like poopoo that I didn't raise funds for charity. Hey, you, imgur entity, if you have a few spare dollars and are looking for a cause to give to, consider an AIDS organization? Ah well, I tried :)
(I did donate some of my own money, FYI, I just usually am able to raise more online and am mad at myself for not sticking with what works)
All in all, turning 40 is kind of lame. My partner spoiled me with various foods and a TON of gifts, which was sweet. My older brother and mom took me to cross Bingo off my list (partner had to stay home with Iggy, who's not 100% ready to be alone for any stretch of time) and getting out of my mom's SUV, I managed to sprain my ankle! Lovely! We didn't win any money but we also didn't catch Covid, so that was good, I haven't really been out doing anything for the last three years so it was nice to get out and also NOT get sick! Someone at bingo won $19,000! I was shocked, I have never been before and had NO IDEA you could win so much! I might go back one day for fun.
Anyways, a semi-successful year! I never stick to goals, so I'm just happy I did some of them. 10 full wins, 6 partial. For someone that is usually 0/0 goals per year, I am pleased :)

eBay is a serious pain in the ass these days

And this is why I don't set goals or make lists for myself. I'll just get incredibly depressed about everything I didn't get done.

#3 get a spider plant. We don’t do anything and it has already grown 6 baby plants.

#1 If you've gone to the car wash, you can actually check off number 2. They may not be as powerful, but those spray nozzles can count.

YOU ARE SO SMART. I wish I'd thought of that, there's one really close to me!
TallynNyntyg
Calling me smart is an oxymoron.

What a great idea. Shame I'm like t-minus 2 weeks til 40. I live a life that would make child-me proud but I'm sure I could think up 40 things I'd want to do as a 40yr old.

Happy almost birthday, fellow old :)

Maybe make one for 41? Milestones are arbitrary anyway, might as well make them work for you.

I'm proud of you!

Don't make me feel feelings D:

But thank you

Needle felting is one of my favorite crafts. I’ve stuck with it longer than some of the others from my craft hoard. Would love to see yours when they’re done!

It's going to be a french bulldog! I hope. It's pretty much just a blob right now, but if I understand needle felting it will mostly be a blob until it's not?
Disstracted
Blobs, yes, lol. You’re fun!
I once got a kit to make a llama, then proceeded to buy the wool and I made llamas for everyone that year. It’s fun to figure out the parts, once you make a frenchie you’ll be able to make them over and over again.
