The 64C also replaced the 6581 SID chip with the 8580, which meant its flaws could no longer be exploited to emulate 4-bit sample playback.

Is that some cartridge command? It's been a while, but I think to load directory in the usual way you'd need close quote and ",8" device specification?

100% It's more an ohmage and also a nod to the MC Frontalot song "Penny Arcade Theme Song" you defiantly needed a: ,8 to let it know you wanted it from the 1541 disc drive.
