It’s a leftist site. It’s not popular. No cash to be made so they won’t bother trying to fix or improve. I hear a bunch of staff have been fired so get used to it. All downhill from here.

Personally, I don’t care about the notifications. Most of my input here is in comments, which is just my opinion, so doesn’t really matter if I get a million downdoots or updoots. My opinion remains the same.
Would be nice to have a larger user base again, but the site is in decline and the way they’re going there’ll be no turning it around.

I gave up on the app. I've been using the website in desktop mode. That's the way I found to get it to work the best. And it still sucks.

I use it on my mobile browser. Now you can even create posts from mobile. So they're making progress! Well, were. They were making progress. Now notifications broke and there's no one to fix them.

All that and more. Notifications are broken, non-users can't view posts vis links (which WAS the whole dang point of the site), chat doesn't work.... I was initially kind of annoyed by the #enshitification tag, but it's true. The site is collapsing socially and technically.

On purpose. This place has a progressive audience. They know we’re bad for business in the ‘new’ america. So instead of just turning it off they are watching it wither under the ad grift until nothing more can be squeezed out.
