I don't mind AI generated content at all, but you should be open about what it is. By hand, this would take months and months. In Stable Diffusion, this probably took you 2 hours. Just be real about what it is :)
Absolutely agree with that sentiment. Just like it's good manners to give the source of artwork/music/whatever, at least tagging AI 'art' properly should be the norm. You didn't 'make' it. An AI did.
Don't support 'ai artists' or lol 'prompt artists' as they're thieves and are putting real artists out of work. I've lost almost 5k in repeat work this year already to scraped 'ai art' There are hundreds and thousands of real skilled artists creating this same work, who've this machine learning has stolen from without permission. Support those people, they put in the time and make better assets anyway.

This is so hypocritical, thief’s ? Lol like artist own the idea of creating something. Artiste really need to come to terms with the fact anyone with the right tools can create something. Finally people don’t have to play for art, they can make it themself, game creators can make games without have to wait for art creators spending endless hours on draw stuff.
Anyone with the right tools can already create anything, especially for tabletop games. You know back before home computers, people would play with wooden tokens on graph paper? Or just with words and their brains? Like, it's cool that you recognize that having lots of neat art is important, but then demanding that nobody actually create it is weird. AI art sucks and the champions of it are delusional.
I remember there was a module for Red basic D&D set called Horror on the Hill. The players had to go check out craziness in some area with goblins and rumors of a dragon. Getting there, the players can come across a nice little cottage with two kindly old ladies. The module says the ladies are into gossip, so players can ask for info. Then the module says the ladies can cure light wounds, b/c they're healers. Then the module starts to describe how combat would go with them.. b/c it has to.
What a blessing the a ability to ai generate stuff is. When I started my new campaign other day I could ai generate my new PC and dm did same on some NPC,s. If it been a few year again we would have to pay commission to some artist online.
To be honest. I do use artflow.ai a lot to make some tokens etc. The option is there so I use it, if it wasn't I would just use lower quality or generic tokens. If I were ready to pay an artist in the first place, I would just keep doing that. I think it's very important to properly compensate artists for their commissions. Assets for a campaign are just not things I'd spend money on.

I had a job doing card art for a card game company for a few years, I don't want to name drop them right now, though I WAS on canadian national news a few months back about this. But when Midjourney opened up to the public, they flat told me they'd be fools to not use it and saved themselves 4900 bucks. It's amazing tech, and is going to destroy a lot of jobs.
They are tragically short sighted though: the whole ai-thing only works as longs as the ai has genuine works to learn from as is the cae right now. As they push real artists with actual creative talent out of their profession over time, the vast well of human creation these algorithms currenty drink from will run dry, ai art will increasingly inform ai art, artefacts will start to pile up and the resulting art will be affected by an increasingly degenerative desease of creativity.
Okay, true, this sucks. I do a small game myself (not posting anything here since it is very much NSFW), but the only art I've replaced with AI was the art I did myself (which were only background images ~ basically stock images and Photoshop), so I switched from stock to AI, but character, inventory and cut-scenes are still done by the same artists, as I really like to talk to the artists to get what I need.
Alot of people are canceling jobs or realizing they can get free work from the AI bots without having to worry about copywrite claims because no laws govern ai art
True, but (and I am not 100% sure on that matter) you cannot claim copyright to the AI images. Not sure what happens if you slightly alter them afterwards though. The situation is kinda messed up at the moment.

(padme) and the PC's are just here looking for some tea and light conversation. (padme) tea and light convo, right?!

You're not creating something. Your computer is, by stitching together other people's work.

How did you loose 5k? I am not trolling, genuinely interested, as in you already had a deal and they decided to cancel it or something similar?
