While more people should've seen how dire the situation was, I think turnout also suffered because Biden should've bowed out before primaries like he said he would, (imo) Harris wasn't a great choice, and their stances on Gaza. Yes, these people are a part of that.
But I'm honestly not convinced that Republicans didn't sabotage the legitimacy of the election. For Biden's entire term they were passing laws to make voting more difficult and purging voter registrations.

All true, but for those who did not vote, and many have openly stated as such, against Trump... all the excuses in the world don't cover them. Even if the B/H campaign should likewise be held at fault, it does not absolve the non-voters, effectively such or truly so. So maybe she did talk plenty about the economy at individual rallies, but not while I was watching the DNC or debate, nor when I was scrolling on my socials to see meme after meme about how she understands that inflation is upsetting to average Americans
