Other western nations don't help directly because of the same reason they didn't go to war with the USSR during the cold war: nuclear escalation.

While the video makes a lot of interesting points, it either fails to address Putin's nuclear escalation threats or dismisses them as the reason why the US/UK/France/Germany won't go all in - the counter-point where the US would join the war if nuclear weapons were used and that it would be a quick war is because that Russian escalation was no longer possible without full on global nuclear war at which point the US would be trying to stop that anyway.

And even if Putin did not follow through on his threats, it is likely that China would use the distraction of Western military forces being drawn into the Ukrainian conflict for its own gains which may or may not help Russia.

If we remove ethics and morality from the equation, it is absolutely in the Western world's interest for this war to be as long and atrocious as possible for Russia, with a second best result then for it to be won by UA. Something like Vietnam (for US) or Afghanistan (for RU). Again, only if we remove ethics and morality from the equation.

Not really atticious for us, didn't destabilize is at home, and didn't hurt us much on the world stage of geopolitics. Sure it was costly, but the US market is war. Vietnam was much much worse for us.

That is one approach, but we see echos too - boeing being able to get so bad is part of that funding. National debt and therefore inflation, is another. Secluding loss to a heireditary warrior class and the poor is effective at supressing organised sustained domestic opposition.

It is very much in our best interest for Ukraine to win. Even if we remove morality from the equation, their food production is going to be increasingly important in the future (given climate), and we want it in the EU rather than under Russia's control. A strong Europe keeping Russia in check so that the US can focus on other regions is very important.

Russia having to occupy UA indefinitely would be worse for RU than them losing the war.

Worse for Russia, true, but also worse for us.

Us, the US, or are you in UA? Because that would be bad for Russia and good for us. Strained Russia; war market booming.

US. As I said, Russia is weak enough that we don't necessarily need them completely ground into a paste; they've already been weakened enough from this war, and
