Conservatives think changing your mind is a sign of weakness.

EVs are just temporary bandaids to help extend an unsustainable car culture.

Logic is not in their play book, it's a weakness for suckers

So glad I got a Prius prime instead, and that I skipped the Tesla wall charger

Only idiots who want to "virtue signal" LOVE Tesla's. It's a very low quality car with the HIGHEST FATALITY rate OF ANY VEHICLE. There are unthinking idiots that will join any group just to feel included.

There's a whole cult of sheeple who adore a rapist felon who shits his pants while cheating at golf...

I mean we have the classic No True Liberal argument here, and with Liberal just meaning politically left of the speaker there are lots of liberals that don't align with leftist views or may even be conservative just not as much as say the modern republican party.

Funniest is, there is no actual left in US. Not even Bernie sanders is. He is somewhat right leaning centrist at best in global standards.

Conservative in 2010:

Sounds like the same logic as 'the Nazi's were socialist because it's in the name', and yet their spiritual god Elon does a double hitler salute and they don't bat an eye.

They are not arguing in good faith.

Conservatives are also against the clean water act.

Nobody wants to drink dirty water.

But anything championed by, or thought to be liked by their political opponents, receives automatic hate or dislike.

Fluoridated water, for instance.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well, they can’t sell you expensive bottles of water if the drinking water was clean

3 months ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

This. The people getting rid of these protections know that THEY will be able to get the clean water they need - they have money. A significant amount of which comes from the people who pay them to get rid of these protections.

It's a political party of OceanGate. "We've over-designed and regulated everything! We don't need any of this stuff!"

liberals never loved teslas. conservatives assumed liberals loved teslas because they conflated "EV" with "good for the environment" which is something that teslas have objectively never been. any environmental benefits that may have come with buying a tesla EV (there arent any, teslas are worse than equivalent gas cars) are offset by tesla's primary revenue stream, selling carbon credits. the fact that its a nazi company is just tossing a lithium battery in a dumpster fire.

I mean, they were really interesting when they were coming out and perceived to be good for the environment, so they definitely had their audience with a good chunk of liberals - can't really lump half the population into having the same opinion about everything. They were well marketed at the perfect time and also did help jumpstart the EV push for other automakers. No need to pretend nobody liked them from the start aside from the cybertruck (the only one Elon actually designed lol).

Oftentimes, it was a literal dumpster fire, as landfill fires are often started by breached lithium batteries.

The whole "EVs are worse for the environment, durher" argument has been debunked dozens or hundreds of times, but that doesn't mean Tesla the company isn't a shit show.

3 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

The best thing for the environment if you have to use a car is to use whatever car you have until it absolutely cannot run any more. You should never buy a new car if you have a working one. Now if you CAN afford a hybrid or EV when you need to replace your car, that's a good choice.

TESLA's evs are worse for the environment. most other EVs are better, but tesla's are not.

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Liberals love EVs still do.

That doesn't mean we have to accept Nazism in order to get them. There are other companies which make them and support our principles.

If they abandon our ideals, we will continue to take our business elsewhere.

That's why EV sales are up, but Tesla is WAY down.

They can't understand the difference between like a thing and worshipping a rich person, thats why they said "liberals loved teslas" not "liberals loved EVs" because in they're mind it's musk not the cars

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

It actually used to be "loved Teslas", because for multiple years, Teslas were the best EVs on the market because other car manufacturers dragged their feet. Times changed though.

the car i usually drive is a Nissan Leaf, took a BIT of getting used to as for a LOOONG time i drove a manual transmission Toyota Tacoma. I knew the Leaf would be zippy, I just didn't realize HOW zippy it would be.

Yeah, I once accidentally switched my car to sport mode and almost crashed. The EV's torque is crazy.

My younger brother occasionally drive it, and turns it off, and the car just feel SO sluggish, especially when i am now used to the car.

Guys, they passed a law to raise overdraft fees. They actually hate all of you

3 months ago | Likes 187 Dislikes 0

The Republicans actually passed a law to repeal Biden's overdraft rule. One Republican voted against it.

Is this something my credit union doesn’t understand?

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

No, they understand it. My credit union doesn't charge overdraft fees, but they definitely understand it

3 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Credit unions are different from banks…

3 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Fundamentally, it's a UNION, and it gets it's value from the combined credit of it's constituent members. Like a Tenant's Union, or an Unemployed Union.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Correct. Which is why they're currently working on repealing protections for Credit Unions to allow the Banks to take them over to start implementing those overdraft fees.

3 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Please no. I switched to a credit union after getting fed up with fees for everything at banks.

3 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You got sauce for that?

3 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This says nothing about banks taking over CUs… and they’re still under the CFPB
