You can set up your browser to not accept them, making good CDNs send pngs instead. Not 100% effective.

If you're on a phone, just put Imgur in your browser and tell it to load the desktop page. You get formats other than webp.

I usually just screenshot stuff and crop it, or copy/paste screenshots into an image edit app (like good ole' MSPaint.)

r-click copy image, then paste as new image in paint or any image editor.

i currently use paint to convert but im lazy and it would be nice just to download it straight to jpg with a click

If you use the Imgur app it's always a jpg/png/etc

i am referring to websites that use webp, which a lot do now. usually i dont download from imgur.
