It was huge, I just couldn't stop eating. In my top 5 favorite steaks of all time.

I bought a quarter of cow and I had to have some of it now before I froze the rest. Brought to room temp, used my favorite rub, reverse seared it on my cast iron charcoal grill. I'm going to go to sleep and dream of eating this again.

It's only a mistake to cook it well done and eat it with ketchup. Points for bringing it to room temp first.

I still have 3/4 of a steak because my wife didn't finish her steak.

The room temperature thing is horseshit, btw. It doesn't do anything.

If that were true tossing a frozen steak on the grill would taste the same, it doesn't.

Well frozen of course, I meant fridge->room temperature. Once a steak is frozen it's pretty boned regardless, tho

It's not if you slowly bring it up to temp, its the same thing with reverse sear. You slowly warm the steak up and then quickly heat up just

The outside, leaving the middle mostly the same temperature.
