Elevate the front of the carrier a little and let the cat sliiiiide to the back.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah I see you found my spirit animal! <3

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

How about getting a proper sized carrier?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

thats a stoned fuckin kitty

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Situations like that are why I have a fabric carrier that opens from the top. Even the floppiest cats can go in easily.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I like those but our current cat is a wizard at getting the zipper open.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

"Fucking shit mark, just get in the damn uber!"

He's so high right meow.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I used to volunteer at a feral cat spay/neuter project near Seattle. I've seen 40 cats like this, all lined up after bein' de-gonaded.

Why? Why are clinics sending pets home like this? So irresponsible. I get that the vid is supposed to be cute, but working in this field 1/2

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 3

for as long as I did…this make my brain hurt with all the things that could go wrong at home. If your pet cant walk out the door = not ready

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 3

Having worked in the same field, drop off at opening, surgery before noon, first pick up at 16:00 and we close at 19:00.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

May not have gone home right away. If it was a "spicy" kitty, better to let it wake up w/o being handled again. Better if bigger crate tho

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah my cat fucking HATES the vet and for anything major he needs to be doped up and not handled sober until he is home

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

So true. In had a cat that had a bad reaction to anesthesia, not waking up properly. They held him for another day for safety.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

He recovered, but we were all worried.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Some people dont care and demand to take thier animal home.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Sure. That’s when I would go over the instructions and at home care extra slowly and with extra paperwork. Then all of a sudden they have…

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

all the questions. I once stalled someone for over an hour and their dog walked out the door. Success.

You’re the hero we need but not the one we deserve

Another promising life wasted by the ravages of hard drug use.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is an outrage! I will not be manhandled like this! Am I not biting you? I'm trying to bite you! Be bitten damn you!

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is an outrage. Man should use a box, not a cage! - anonymous cat

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why not put the cat in head-first?

For cats. Gabapentin is a hell'uv'a'drug.

Step 1 : tilt the cage upward. Step 2 : pour cat in.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

the sage advice has been followed

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why didn’t I become a vet.

My cats are weird.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That create is a little small for that cat, especially post surgery

3 years ago | Likes 173 Dislikes 5

They start thrashing when waking up from anaesthesia. Smaller crates are better for avoiding injury. -- used to work at spay/neut clinic

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

I've had cats so aggressive you had to put them in the owner's carrier before waking them up, but if too small we had spares to loan.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Definitely my cat haha. Absolute cuddle bug, but HATES the vet. The vets are slightly scared of him.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Probably don't want them trying to move too much early on, among other reasons.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Asian vets pushing cats in small containers. It's bonsai cats all over again

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Nah, just put the head in first. So much easier.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Why was this down voted? Is there a reason you shouldn't put cats head first into a crate? Genuinely curious!

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No reason. It's so much easier both for the cat and for the one stuffing the cat.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Yes, there is a reason. When the cat is waking up from surgery you want to be able to monitor its condition. Can't do that if you can't see>

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

< Its face. Esp. at a spay/neuter clinic where you do 20+ cats a day, you must put them in carriers before they wake up. Otherwise it'd be >

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

< utter mayhem when sending them home that afternoon. -- worked at a spay/neut clinic

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Crates are expensive and ridiculous in sizes. It’s either cat-size or large-dog-size that only fits in the back of trucks

3 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 0

I just got my cats a 'small dog' carrier. It works great, gives them space and folds up when not in use.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I got this one for my cat and put it on rollers. Works great and transports easily.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thank you! I have a chonk and I was going to add a strap but rollers is even better!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's adorable (I'm used to Maine Coons). We just use dog crates

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you having a stronk?

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

I was, but I think in good now!

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Stronk, James Stronk.
