I needed new molds, and one of the creators I watch suggested coloring them to be able to tell them apart.

Base moulds complete and prepped for the lids to be poured. Dice faces cleaned up, edges trimmed, "keys" cut, all non-dice surfaces painted with Vaseline, and a simple duct tape form created for the next layer. No need for hot glue on this part, a simple rubber band will keep it from leaking. The lids have to be pretty heavy, so it will be a significant amount of silicone. Now to mix up all the silicone, color it, stick it in a vacuum chamber for 10 min to get all the bubbles out, fill the moulds, and wait 4 hours.

There is something kinda zen about this part.

Ready to set for 4 hours.

Ugh. Gross. Much like many older Colorado homes, no AC here. First day of summer coming in hot.

All done.

Maybe I'll make new dice tomorrow, but between what you've seen here, all the clean-up that wasn't shown, and the fact that I have DND tonight that I have to leave at 5 PM for, I'm calling it a day on my crafty side-hustle.

Oh ya, and while the silicone set up, I did spend several hours today polishing and painting this purple and green set for my Dungeon Master tonight.
