I posted this four years ago and sadly it is still fitting. I am deeply troubled and I think many of us Europeans are.

If they fuck it up again, then it's because they didn't learn anything from the first go around and they absolutely NEED to learn. If Donald the Rapist becomes POTUS again, he'll fuck things up so badly that maybe all the sleepy dipshits who didn't give a crap actually start to give a crap.

As an American, I am deeply troubled too.

On behalf of myself and my girlfriend, we've voted, and we're hoping enough of our fellow sane Americans do so to hand a catastrophic defeat to the toxic Nazi wannabes.

We hope. But if not, how do you feel about accepting American refugees? Between my Middle-Eastern last name, and her being African American, we're not exactly on the "most popular" list of the Orange Shitstain and his cohorts.

Well, we did fuck it up. I’ll just curl up in a corner now.

Ultimately this election will probably end up in the courts for months. Then probably end up on the house floor, 1 state 1 vote...fuck.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sure some of the cases will make it to SCOTUS instead. That's ... fuck.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have WAY too much anxiety about this for someone living in the loft apartment.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Us Canadians are just as troubled as you too if not more so because this US dumpster fire is in our own back yard.

The total number of voters needed could theoretically be around 22% to 23% of the national popular vote to determine the presidency.

Democracy at its finest.

I did what I could. Blue all around on my ballot. Let's hope enough people did the same.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

… hey, listen … we may have just fucked this up…

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

We fucked it up. What have we become?!

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Win or lose, tomorrow is going to suck. Either the US is fucked cause orange Hitler won and his cult riots in celebration or he loses and his cult still riots, it will just be more violent.

10 months ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

If orange cunt wins it isn't just the US that's fucked. That shit will be global. Except Russia, they'll be poppin the champagne

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Given Biden wasn't declared winner in 2020 until like Saturday, we're likely going to be in a holding period for awhile.

10 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah I was reading an article earlier and they're saying it'll be Friday before the last of the swing state votes trickle in. I'm fully in disassociation mode.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nah.. Trump won we’re fucked on this one

As an American who can only give one vote:

Remember when Bush won his 2nd term, someone set up "sorryeverybody.com". I wonder if they'll relaunch it if tiny-hands Trump wins.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Too early to call but I’m very disappointed in a large portion of my country right now

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It’s official, the USA is completely fucked

Everyone is saying they’re seeing more women and young people voting and the lines are long. This bodes well for remaining a democratic republic and not a fascists state.

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I voted blue and encouraged others. Did what I could.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Vote when you can, and then VOTE IN EVERY ELECTION. Every.election.matters, it basically just takes 1 term to fuck us into facism. From the dog catcher to the president never vote republican

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Posts that have not aged well.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fear not, we are royally fucking this up as I type. We are not ok!

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To late

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The way the process works, it's not just about raw numbers. You can have fewer votes than your opponent and still win.

10 months ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 0

With the exception of 2004, it's the only way the GOP has won the Presidency this century.

10 months ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Which is fucking stupid. We need to get rid of the electoral college.

10 months ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yep. When the vote is purely to decide the next president, there is literally NO logical reason for the electoral college.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It was valid when it was initially started, because we had much less population especially out in the sticks, and rural folk needed an even chance to vote the way people in cities do. But yeah, now it's pretty useless and in fact a detriment. What's really messed up is that now some Southern States passed laws that their governors get to decide where their electoral votes go, despite what popular vote in the state says. In those specific states, your vote quite literally does not matter.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

No it wasn't "valid" back then either. It was a compromise to get slave states on board because they had lower population of free citizens and wanted to turn the table in their favor. Same with the 3/5 compromise.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Even back then, sorry they live in low pop density, but I still don't think their vote should count more than mine. Land shouldn't get a vote, just people.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I very much agree.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Tell me again why there even IS a vote for the President if it's the House that determines the winning party?

10 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Huh? The house, senate, and executive branch can all have different winning parties. The house only chooses the president during a contingent election, during which the senate would choose the VP.

Did you mean to say the electoral college? That would make a lot more sense.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't worry, as an American voter, we'll make sure you can reuse this meme in 2028, 2032 and beyond!!

10 months ago | Likes 188 Dislikes 0

Only thing I feel really confident in, Trump will be 0-3 on popular vote tonight.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

If we fuck it this time, there may not BE a next time. Trump promised it.

10 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Well until there's no longer elections anyway.

10 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

There will always be elections. Just like Russia or the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

10 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Starting in 2026.

10 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The amount of GOP candidates getting 100% of the vote is going to be crazy to see.

Roughly 50/50 that this is the last election, but I'm hopeful we'll be voting again in 28.
