As the BBC reports, Seraphinne Vallora was approached by Guess' cofounder, Paul Marciano, on Instagram.

"We created ten draft models for him and he selected one brunette woman and one blonde that we went ahead and developed further," 25-year-old Seraphinne Vallora cofounder Valentina Gonzalez told the broadcaster, claiming that it was a complicated process to generate the images.

Gonzalez defended her company's work, arguing that "we don't create unattainable looks" and that the Guess model "looks quite realistic."

Apparently it's quite easy to con Guess out of their money. Anyone can do this "complicated progress" in a few minutes and create a better outcome than this crap among crap.

Why are people upset at a fake woman? It's art imitating life.

"We don't create unattainable looks" ... All you need to do is have extra knees installed, it's a totally common surgery.

And bending your left leg, but having your right knee poking out.

What's really funny to me about this is that it shows how bad a job generative AI really does. The photos do *not* look realistic, they are very obviously off and most people can tell that they're off

Being able to tell the fake is best possible outcome. But that's not the case anymore. AI generated fraud is already causing billions of losses and it's only getting worse. Soon you can't trust anything anymore.

I've seen people do it more convincingly, I'll admit, but the fact that, even in a commercial setting where they want to do a professional job, it can fail this badly shows that this tech has serious limitations.
