Let make this 5 V 2 A AC adapter a bit smarter…

There is not much space inside adapter and this is the only location where SMA connector can be installed.

RC circuit for ESP32 EN pin (10 kΩ, 1 µF) plus power supply decoupling capacitors (10 µF, 0.1 µF)

NDO533MA DC-DC buck converter for efficient 5 V to 3.3 V voltage change.

Circuit installed close to connector pins inside heatshrink tube

Everything tightly packed into the case. ESP32-WROOM-32U is separated from PSU electronics by plastic shield.

Now build an army into functioning normal looking adapters and you’ve got a WiFi tracking network

ESP32-WROOM-32D would be perfect for that with internal PCB antenna. Should be possible to track COVID-19 random IDs for instance.
