The recent update to the Android app has lost or broken a few features:
* When posting a comment and hitting the favourites icon, the drop down for the folders (My posts, favourites, folders) has vanished since the last update.
* When trying to copy the direct image link to post the picture instead of the link, Android only copies the post link and not the direct image link since the update, so I can't get around the missing folders without downloading the image and uploading it directly to the comment instead of just linking from favourites or copying the .jpg/.gif link.
* I can no longer use custom tags when adding tags on the Android app since the update and the search doesn't return old custom tags or much beyond the most popular. Before you just hit 'enter' when you'd typed a tag and it would apply it, this is gone since the update. This is still possible on desktop.
Uploading is also really wonky recently.
Just me? Just Android?
Edit: Update from 2 days ago, version 7.25.0
Edit 2: Your support page is pants, Imgur. I had to select 'Problem with my account' from the list of issues because there isn't anything that clearly indicates a way of reporting bugs or technical issues.
While I'm at it, when I make an image post, why don't the 'press to hold' options work outside of the title box and the first image box? And why does this break if I 'press to hold' more than twice in either of those boxes?
It feels like this place is held together with duct tape more and more these days.

I had this one of a Skyrim character saying "fapped". I used it as a reaction every day. Wonder why it got taken down...

It’s the same on iOS. Copying link no longer shows image, which is infuriating. I don’t save most images, I search imgur then link someone else’s.

I, too, noticed direct link only links to the post and not the gif anymore.
ParaspriteHugger
You might want to give a version number there.
ColmCorbec
Good point, edited.

I think they're trying to force us to use their built in gif system. I don't want it. It's broken for me and displays all kinds of random when I expand the gif. But I think they did this on purpose.
LogicDude
On Desktop you can no longer access ANY of your previously uploaded images (unless they were used in a Post, then you have to find that Post). That change happened about 2 months ago and it SUUUUUUCKS.

Try going to https://LogicDude.imgur.com/all/ Does that work for you?
LogicDude
It DOES! Thank you Kind Citizen!

My pleasure!

I gave up with the app ages ago; it always has lots of issues. Might be worth reporting here https://help.imgur.com/hc/en-us/requests/new in case they're not aware
ColmCorbec
Prefacing that this isn't a dig at you: That is a pretty unhelpful support page.
The drop down doesn't list anything about technical problems with the site or app.
ColmCorbec
Had to select 'Problem with my account' from the drop-down because the options don't include 'technical issues' or 'bug' - how exactly are you supposed to submit a bug report?
Rulesy
Not sure, I'd probably go with "I have a suggestion", but your choice makes sense too
ColmCorbec
I did that initially but wondered if it might then be treated with a lower priority because it was a suggestion and not a problem.
ColmCorbec
Ahh thanks, I did click on support but it kept loading a blank webview page. I'll make a report.

I just downloaded the app after over 1 year just using my laptop periodically. While writing this comment I used the faves icon, used the drop-down and added a fave from a subdirectory with no issues whatsoever. Maybe it's me but I have no issues with the app and never have had any. Sorry. Just saying. Not condemning you nor am I "simping" for the app .. just experience compared to yours.

Version 7.24.0.0
ColmCorbec
I'm on a newer version, 7.25.0.

Not being able to get a direct link to the image is infuriating. I have to go to a browser to do it manually, and even then edit the link.
ColmCorbec
Yeah, it has made posting anything but text replies quite frustrating.
skipweasel
Also annoying if you want to send an image to someone without making them read all the accompanying stuff - you know, like an image hosting site ought to do.
ColmCorbec
Oh yeah I'd forgotten about that. I tried sending an image to a friend who doesn't use Imgur the other day and it just sent the post link which doesn't have a preview, so the link launches their browser just to view the image.
