D&D post #6
The pummel holds a compartment for storing a single vial of poison. A button on the guard breaks the vial and allows the poison to coat the blade through a slit running to the handle in the blade.
Mechanics concept bonus action to activate poison. Rather then action.
However it takes about a minute to refuel.

The blade design itself looks like a trine. Perfect for an assassin in concept. Those things are one of the first internationally banned weapons due to how hard it is to treat the wound.

Interesting I had no idea.

A crossguard on a poisonous weapon you use to stab people so the stabber doesn't accidentally slip and cut themselves with a poisoned blade might not be too bad?
devinrtowell
Good point.
maxthemagician
very deadly, as long as you keep the dagger lodged in the person for 10 seconds to let the poison slowly drip down.
devinrtowell
Depends on the poison.
maxthemagician
More like depends on the angle to stab your target. Unless you stab in specific angle, the poison will never reach the target.

The idea is you use a syrupy poison. You prush the button before you stab them and make aure to give the poison time to seep into the groves of the blade. Any poison on a blade going into to blood stream can be lethal. Especially if the poison is arsenic or mercury. Just no name some of the worse mankind has ever used.

If you coat the blade downward before stabbing it doesn't matter.
