I'm working now on a system in which placed tiles adapt their type to nearby tiles. Makes fun to build small lands. :) I will contuinue with this.

To the project:

At the moment it's more a kind of learning experience to me how city-builders work. But I also want to do something with it.
I have the idea that every tile is a type of a specific biome like nature, water, rock and maybe later human, desert or ice. And you place these tiles to grow a kind of world map.
Each type will be later maybe effected by the other types. Like a nature tile that is surrounded by only desert tiles becomes an oasis or a human tile that is surrounded by only water tiles becomes a ship.

I will try these things out and post them later here too.
The colored tiles are currently only placeholders to visualize how the autotiling works.

At the end it could become a very relaxing building game.

Looks like it's just tiles which change color based on the ones around it

It's like RedRedPanda said. The tiles change their type based on the ones around them. It will be a kind of city/world-builder game/toy.
