I'm working now on a system in which placed tiles adapt their type to nearby tiles. Makes fun to build small lands. :) I will contuinue with this.
To the project:
At the moment it's more a kind of learning experience to me how city-builders work. But I also want to do something with it.
I have the idea that every tile is a type of a specific biome like nature, water, rock and maybe later human, desert or ice. And you place these tiles to grow a kind of world map.
Each type will be later maybe effected by the other types. Like a nature tile that is surrounded by only desert tiles becomes an oasis or a human tile that is surrounded by only water tiles becomes a ship.
I will try these things out and post them later here too.
The colored tiles are currently only placeholders to visualize how the autotiling works.
At the end it could become a very relaxing building game.

It's like RedRedPanda said. The tiles change their type based on the ones around them. It will be a kind of city/world-builder game/toy.

Looks like it's just tiles which change color based on the ones around it
