now if only we had a delorean, we could go back in time and cut his fathers balls off
FelonyRaptor
Best thing is they got the hair absolutely right some 40 years before he got bald and shit got out of hand.
tmshrp
You know what should happen to someone like Biff Tannen.

I know I'm not the only one who would like to see an entire Manure truck dumped on Donald.....
FoxxoniusAugustus
I can see how some might not make the connection immediately. Those women look to both be adults and neither one looks particularly like Ivanka...
mrbadxampl
he hates manure, yet these days he sits in it willingly

Hello! Hello! Think, Daily Beast, think!
SecretAgentSuperBooger
Yep, Rolling Stone 10yr old Sauce https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/back-to-the-future-writer-biff-is-donald-trump-190408/
madmax17
Damn, the resemblance π
Ducktheman2
Wasn't this obvious from the get go?
madmax17
Biff is much more manly and strong πͺ
getyourfruitoffmeyoudamndirtygrapes
Microsoft Explorer just catching up I see.
Idontneedrealfacts
He also played a villain in Home Alone 2
TonawandaBlue
And Trump sees it as a compliment
qtRaven
It was obvious. Also obligatory - *nsfw

Yes, I know. I saw the movie on release day. Also, Trump first ran for president in 2000. (I am old)
Onlyhereforthelaughs
I'm so ashamed to admit I enjoyed watching The Apprentice at first.
powwerbottom
He never really left reality TV

The younger generation may think Trump is a new racist, greedy, narcissistic asshole, but us oldsters knew he's been a racist, greedy, narcissistic asshole for well over four decades.
euphoricopportunity
My early impressions were heavily shaped by Bloom County. Hadn't been aware of the racism until he start in on Obama's burth certificate.
SteveMND
Yeah, a lot of the older popular media tended to focus on greed and callousness as his defining characteristics, overshadowing most all others, but he's had quite the history of racism. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Racial_views_of_Donald_Trump
muwah
He was always a bombastic, tacky, racist, charlatan. Iβm old enough to know he was never to be taken seriously.
FartsSmellBad
I don't know anyone wouldn't immediately see it
maday1br
I didn't, but I was like six when it came out.
LanceTex
I didn't until now
voxael
Did whoever is working for the Daily Beast only just figure that out?
SecretAgentSuperBooger
Higure
One thing is guessing it. Another thing is actually getting explicit confirmation.
Dobster
Was it more that this was specifically confirmed by a writer, rather than just a viewer assumption?
voxael
I recall it being confirmed by multiple sources back in the day - I canβt recall off the top of my head if it was Thomas Wilson (the actor) or the writers first but the other confirmed it when they were asked
Billis75
Did they know that Viggo Mortensen broke his toe in The Two Towers?

I can get the confusion though, Biff is somehow nowhere near as nasty or dangerous.
SirNinjaPirateBot
Even Biff was redeemed in the end. Don't see that happening with the other guy.
SteveMND
Given that the article is from 2015, I think it's more that OP only just figured that out.
theshinobi23
Or maybe they just like bringing it up? It could also be new information for others that just knew the two were incredibly similar, but didn't know it was done on purpose. But yeah, this article was put out a few months after he first announced he was running for the 2016 election.
WaywardLurker
graifazig
Not being an American, I hadn't really heard of Donald Trump before the election campaign in the 2010s. I was: "Who is that? Do people really believe that shit he says?" I assumed that the personality of Trump didn't make it notably across the Atlantic. But I'm not sure the Daily Beast gets to use that excuse?
euphoricopportunity
He was a laughingstock in the 1980s, a frequent target of tabloids - seen mostly as a con man, a spouse abuser, a braggart, and exceptionally tasteless. The Apprentice helped redeem his public image. Then.... all the other shit happened.
OlksPolks
I had only heard of him from cameos in things like sex and the city and two weeks notice
johnblood616
They wanted to make him mayor but they didnt think it believable that anyone would vote for Dump
Akurei00
An orange colored mayor, that'll be the day.
