Doesn't have quite the same impact as all the other pretty pictures around here, does it...
I don't live in the path of totality and got a cheap 5 year old phone
Couldn't travel to totality, and didn't know if i was going to see the eclipse at all because of weather and my schedule
But i got lucky and i had fun sharing the experience with friends on the net; everyone seeing slightly different things at different times across the continent
Watching the light dim mid-day has a surreal quality. the wildlife acted odd, temperatute changed a little bit.
Crappy photos of projected sunlight, no one will care but I'm glad i could do it
At the last minute, with no planning, all i had was a sheet of paper and broken binoculars. Still fun (and bonus pizza!)
