I’ve been looking to try and get a picture of the neowise comet and couldn’t find anything I’ve tried looking up the comets location but none of the news websites or articles show where it’s at I’m in Southern California behind the San Bernardino Mountains but I’m far enough away to see the stars

It's just above the northeastern horizon, so maybe the mountains block it. It'll switch to evenings soon and move closer to the big dipper.

Ok I was thinking on going to the desert early in the morning

Sorry. Enjoy the neowise comments instead.

Since it's low on the horizon, you may have to go up one of the mountains at 3-5am to see it. Or maybe try Arrowhead, and look towards Vegas

You can see how low it is on the other side of the continent in Ottawa: https://imgur.com/account/favorites/rZakyCX

It's pretty dim, without binoculars it's hard to see.

Yeah but I have a Nikon p900 so that shouldn’t be a problem I’m looking towards the horizon and I got up at 3 woke back up at 4 then 5

It's in the constellation Auriga. Get a phone app.
