Finished build first… as is tradition.

Front..

And back box art.

12 bags, instructions and small sticker sheet.

Bag one had a lot of technic pins and a few color specific pieces to designate front and back for the rest of the build. Lil R2 supervised the remainder of the build. R2 is a cool minifig. There’s front and back printing and it looks really good. I know a lot of the astromechs don’t have back printing so that’s a good thing.

Left side and Darth Malak come in bag two. Not gonna lie , I asked for this set for Christmas cause I wanted that minifig lol.

Bag 3 for the right side. Some of the color coding.

Bag 4 filled in the back.

And bag 5 finished the front. Several stickers on this step.

Bag six and R2’s dome is coming together. This whole build was really solid.

Bags 7 and 8 rounded off the dome and added all the details.

9 and 10 provide the legs…

And all the details.

Bags 11 and 12 added all the little components R2 uses in the movies. Zapper and headlight. There’s nowhere to store these on the figure that I could find so I just attached them to the display plaque. Also included the third/center leg but I forgot a pic.

The completed R2 and all the parts n pieces left over. Like I said this build was really solid. R2 has a lot of weight and sets up well on display.

Do you just put it up for display or do you knock it down later and rebuild when you feel the itch?

For now just display. Ive only recently got back into Lego so all my sets are still assembled.

cool, I build, let it sit for a month, knock it down and build something else then repeat. It's a pain to have a swack of sets taking up space
