I'm an illustrator and aspiring background artist, preferably for animation, visual novels, and the like. Currently going through a demoralized period with no idea how to go forward or break in, though, so decided to post my half-finished portfolio to see if I'm on the right track.

My current WIP: First piece for an illustrated webnovel I'm working on. Almost entirely done, but still needs tweaking.

Product illustration of the Intuos Small for Wacom, from earlier this year. I write articles for them as my current job.

Proof-of-concept painting of the inside of the apartment.

Render of the Sketchup model used as a base for the apartment's interior shots, to show I can do this too. There's one for the exterior too, but this is by far the better one. I don't know any "real" 3D programs, though, so IDK if it on its own is useful.

Lineart for one of the next illustrations: From June, although I'm going to be coloring it as soon as we get to this part next year. I've heard it's good to toss in a lineart piece, though.

Yes, the novel is about a weeb.

Experiment to see if I could make a whole city scene as one low-poly model using only AI-generated assets. Also WIP: Planning to add more buildings, street details, and people. This project's been controversial among my artist friends, and I have complicated feelings about AI myself, but I think it's important to explore its uses for real art.

Map of my unpublished second-world urban fantasy novel's setting, from 2020. Although dated and not a background, I thought it might be helpful to show I can do this kind of design too.
