I can only guess what a blessing it was to know such strong gay women of color especially from that era. These are sisters to admire.

Watched Ma Rainey's Black Bottom with Viola Davis and Chadwick Boseman recently. One hell of a movie! Amazing, spine-shivering, electrifying performances by the both of them. Boseman was such a great actor, it's a terrible loss that he's no longer with us.

I would recommend trying to get a hold Ma Rainey songs and you will never go back to 'prettied up' blues singing. Her voice is raw and real and wonderful. take me to the basement..

She was a feminist. I guess this counts as "loving women".

Honestly my mind was on the scrubs joke where they are discussing last names and Jordan says "I love Cox" and Todd is inappropriate... Also the new show Shrinking where the actress who plays Jordan is married to a guy who is practically the creator of the show and her husband in real life and was during scrubs, very funny. Am I funny nooooooo. Do I regret what I commented 50/50, but if a Mike Hunt low hanging fruit joke is there, I'm not sure I could resist. https://media1.giphy.com/media/v1.Y
