They seem innocuous...
Disinformation?

How to make a better bot: Ask how they are spotted! LOL

Imgur has seriously always had bots. I find it more weird that people are calling out the bot accounts when they don't even post political shit. The bots you keep calling out are posting shit you all keep asking for like cats and dogs and nature shit. Make up your mind.

So you plan to just go around randomly accusing anyone new of being a bot and downvoting everything they post?

Nah, you can check the profile. There are obvious signs

Minimal interaction: post very frequently, but comment at much longer intervals. Also if they have very few (or much older) favourites

Tread carefully with that logic. Not liking to write comments isn't necessarily a sign of being a bot, even if they post content frequently. There are plenty of users who don't comment often due to anxiety issues, but don't mind posting content since they aren't required to respond to comments. Anxiety issues are Hell to live with. So if you go around attacking random people because they don't comment often you could all too easily end up being an abuser who's just tormenting disabled people.

That’s a very valid point. I’m partly referencing a recent one who did this. This morning FP and UserSub were FLOODED with their posts. That user admitted they use a bot.

I saw that post, and truth be told unless a user admits to using a bot there's no way to be truly certain they are actually using a bot. Many times though, when a user floods usersub with posts it's because they're new and don't know the etiquette yet. If someone's automatic response is to accuse others of using a bot, then the situation quickly becomes no different than a witch hunt, with angry users venting their frustrations on innocent people just because they behave differently.
