Active duty and only been stationed in high cost giant cities; get orders to an Airstation in a high cost but not city so bit the bullet and purchased a house. It was super stressful (I’ve been trying to fix finances after being conned out of 10k with a lemon vehicle at the beginning of my career) but I’m soooo glad I went through with it.

Chilling out in the hammock has been so nice. Just total relaxation.

The dogs are loving it too. Huge change from a 3rd floor walkup in NYC.

I installed a dig pit (just a sandbox frame) to limit digging to one area and now they just chill in it all the time lol.

Guess I’m officially an adult now lol.

Now you just need a raccoon to snuggle in that hammock.

That dig pit is a great idea! I’m gonna do that for my dogs

5 years ago | Likes 172 Dislikes 0

Yeah digging is a natural dog trait and healthy so it was the first thing I put in the yard lol.

5 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Never thought of that!! Brilliant! Not gonna stop it, so direct it. I love simple shit that’s awesome.

5 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

make sure there are no utilities in that area. . .

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Very smart I wouldn’t have thought of that either

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Truly Brilliant idea! Instead of saying they can't, give them a place they can!

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

WOWSER! FANTASTIC! I think you found a great property! The yard is huge & amazing! Add that to your livable sq ft. 100 x 100 lot? What city?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Congrats! Lovely house, super dogs. Hope you live happily ever after.

Nice

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

is it the first picture or is the roofline sagging?

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It’s something weird about the pic. It doesn’t look it irl and had the roof inspected. Was replaced in 2014.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice!! that's a big expense you don't have to worry about for another 5 years or so!

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That's a nice little house.

Those are some beautiful doggos

My thought also.

What is lemon vehicle

5 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

In this case a salvaged car that wasn’t marked and sold with a doctored car fax.

A dud

One ticket to paradise, Congrats

I'm going to be thinking about the frame rate on that video all weekend

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That frame rate

5 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

How many bed/bath @OP? nice

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2/1 but plenty of room to put a half or whole in the basement in the future.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

here's hoping you can keep it and make things work for you. Looks small, but that's cool.

5 years ago | Likes 55 Dislikes 7

I would LOVE to find something that small where I live. Houses start at 1100- 1600sqft and that is considered small. :-( It looks lovely.

5 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Glass is always half empty with you. I can tell.

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

better then basement half full of water and your collection of stuff destroyed.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Be happy for the guy.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I am. More then you realize. But I've seen how quickly a great situation goes bad. And flooding is becoming a yearly occurrence now.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

plan for the worst, hope for the best. Once dealt with, with proper prep, one can say 'well that wasn't as bad I thought it'd be',

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes payments are comfortable and the house is 800sqft but with a full basement and attic. Plenty of room.

5 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

(That is 74 m² in European. Basically the size of a 3-room apartment here.)

5 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

just check to make sure how flooding in the area might look, plan accordingly.

5 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

It’s in a flood area but I have good flood insurance. Thank you!

5 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

HAHA... good flood insurance. no such thing. They can and WILL weasel out of any claims they possibly can. I'm just saying be careful on

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 4

Omg!!!! Shut up and let them enjoy the house jesus christ!!!!!

5 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 8

what you set up and store in said basement. been seeing a lot of flooding lately across country.

5 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 4

Was it a mustang? It was a mustang, wasn’t it? Congrats on the pad though. We have a couple we bought while still ad. Cute place.

found the chevy lover

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

No it was a Jeep. Got ran off road on H3 and tore my axel out. Would have been fine but the car was on a salvage title that wasn’t marked

I got my loan through USAA not through the dealership. So it wasn’t like 20% interest or anything like that.

5 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The seller gave a doctored car fax all markings were missing off frame and titles in FL are electronic. So I had no idea until this accident

5 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

And only got 3k back for my 15k loan. Living in Hawaii couldn’t hunt seller down who disappeared.

5 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

It was a super shitty situation where everyone shifted blame and I got no help. It took a while but I’m ok now financially.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

That really sucks. Surprising but not. Had a few of my Marines get screwed by dealers too but nothing this severe.

5 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I was young and brought my parents who said all paperwork was copacetic and trusted their expertise. Bit me right in the ass.
