I hope you have a good outcome, I can't imagine how nerve wrecking the waiting period is for you. I'm already a little anxious over these images even though I'm 99% sure it's just a cyst.
I have often wondered too if I broke my nose as a child and didn't remember it 😂 as far as I know I haven't but I already knew I had a deviated septum as one nostril is much larger than the other and one side of my nose is a different shape to the other so it's interesting to finally see it in an mri!
I don't have my diagnostic results back yet but after a lot of researching this seems to be a cyst but if you look at the second image you can see it's in the nasopharyngeal region which is where the base of the skull and the soft palette are so fortunately in a much easier to reach place than my brain!
Cysts are benign but can cause symptoms if they keep growing or press on something. I've been having chronic headaches, post nasal drip with coughing and neck pain.
Oh I see... that little sh*t. From the position I imagine it's not easy to remove it, will it be there to keep you company? However, I wish you the best of outcomes
As far as I've researched they access the nasal cavity through the nostrils so it's much easier than trying to remove a cyst in the brain itself. They are benign growths so nothing scary thankfully but at the same time I finally have an answer to some symptoms I've been experiencing and it's not all in my head! Well except it is all in my head I guess 🤔
That's it, not fun but much better than brain surgery! I had trouble figuring out where it was too, I kept looking up different parts of the brain before really looking at all the images and thinking well it's not actually in the brain itself is it? So I ended up looking up different parts of the head instead which eventially lead me to my answer.

I had a biopsy done on my head yesterday. Now patiently waiting for the results.

Thank you. Hope all your results come back clear.

Did you ever break your nose OP? I'm getting those vibes from the first pic. I feel for you, post nasal drip is awful. Good luck on the treatment!

I don't want to worry you but there appears to be a skeleton inside you.
WindyWhistler
Along with a very lumpy looking brain according to my mom...
Stoneagedudeman
I'd be more worried about the skeleton. Whats a blob of salt and fat gonna do that a calcified warrior wouldnt?
theskirrid
Well if she ever calls you stupid you now have actual tangible proof of having a brain. Not many people can say that.

Is a cyst in the brain a serious problem OP? I am completely ignorant on this subject.

Ohh I completely misunderstood the position then... So it's done ancient Egyptian style, unpleasant... But doable 👍😄
