Sorry, Buddy, but it's not as simple as snapping a finger. If I had a Thanos Glove I probably would do it... yeah... half of population of the world is a small price to pay this day for a possible better future for another half.
I dream of hope I dream of life out of here My dreams aren't small My dreams don't know fear I've got a heart full of hope I will change everything No matter what I'm told Or how impossible it seems We did it before And we'll do it again We're indestructible Even when we're tired And we've been here before Just you and I Don't try to rescue me I don't need to be rescued We got the power to be loving eachother no matter what happens We got the power to do that On a le pouvoir de s'aimer
imagine the world where a green idiot could snap away our infrastructure that makes his easygoing life possible. Its really ironic, that reverting to the primitive lifestyle of savages would take them first.
A bit too harsh, but yeah, we didn't get here because we wanted to wreck everything. The industrial revolution was brought about by coal, and hydrocarbons made things less dirty. For the next step we need to spend resources (or rather political will).
Yes. I wont argue, that we need to be better and care mor about our environment, but snapping the living base of every person away is more than just evil but portraied as a "good" thing. it would mean killing most of humanity withing a few days.
But thats the level most of them think at. Change regardless of the consequences and when they suffer themselves its always the others that were responsible.
Yeah, but it wouldn't be a Buddy Gator vibe to make an animation of the giant fingers pulling the release cable on a guillotine. So, wishful snapping it is then...
We’ve even done it before. Look at the old pictures of LA - I went there as a kid in the early 90’s and it was vile. You’d wake up to the sound of birds coughing. It was rough I tell ya!
I wish it were that easy buddy. But we do have the power to change that, it’s just gonna take a lot of work. We can get there though, if we could get everyone to stop hating each other long enough to make it
TBH I think we’re sunk. We needed to start burning billionaires alive two decades ago, now they own the governments and the propaganda machine is complete enough that they can count on at least a third of the populace to help them murder the rest of us. The tools exist for them to remake society with a permanent subjugated underclass, and they will absolutely take that opportunity.
I feel that history shows that we as humans don't stop hating each other until the terrible event has happened and the survivors have start all over again. The re-boot starts well and altruistically and then for some reason when the situation is no longer dire, we amuse ourselves by hating one another again. So it goes.
All of it. Any time a population survives a war or natural disaster, we start off with grand humanitarian intentions and then end up back at the same place. In the threat of imminent death or the brief period immediately afterwards we're gung ho for humanity. Once the catastrophe is over and safety and security have been restored, it's back to the business of screwing each other over.
We saw a mini version of that with the first few weeks/months (depending on where you were) of the pandemic. Community spirit, in Britain 'Save the NHS' and 'clap for heroic frontline workers' and 'protect the vulnerable' but the mood soured as soon as people got bored of not being able to go to the pub or get a haircut. And then things were worse than they had been before.

That Buddy Gator and the giant snapping hand are alright.
northerngermany
Always snapping for my buddy Buddygator.

Republicans hate this one trick
Jandegrote
At this point the only way to change this is to start executing the mega rich so they cant bribe the world leaders anymore.
NeverTrustThisNewInternetThingy
Don't you dare tell me what to do with the environment! Murrica! Freedom!!!
LittleAzie

My dreams don't know fear

I will change everything
No matter what I'm told
Or how impossible it seems

We're indestructible
Even when we're tired
And we've been here before
Just you and I
Don't try to rescue me
I don't need to be rescued
We got the power to be loving eachother
no matter what happens
We got the power to do that
On a le pouvoir de s'aimer

I love you buddy gator.

It will take a lot longer to change the environment, but it can be done if we work together and certain people are not in a position to thwart it.

The Lorax gathering the Infinity Stones was not the crossover I expected, but it is the crossover we need.

Yeah, start with organizing. Change won't happen under capitalism, we need to build a new system by ourselves. https://iww.org

Preeeeeeeeeeeeeeetttty sure the ones with the power to stop it, are the 1% and above. The power to MAKE them stop it though, that's definitely us.

...and that is why it takes Earth, Wind, Water, Fire, and HEART to form Captain Planet.
WarThunderLeakedMySpecs
Captain Planet isn’t real, but his enemies are.

OTOH, that has been done before, many times. Nazi Germany wasn't the first time nor even the latest. Nothing is forever.

I don't think we ever will unless we have an outside entity to hate. If we ever meet aliens, we "might" unify against them.

What period in history are you taking that from?
