As part of a 3D MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) that I am working on, I am building a 3D map of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico as it might have appeared in the year 1660. I have identified buildings that existed in 1660 and have used photos of these buildings to guide me in in my 3D map creation. Here's a few examples.
This screen capture of Google street view is the City Hall in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Construction of this building began in 1604. While I don't have information on how it appeared in 1660, I have recreated the building as it appears now, omitting the parts that I know were added subsequent to 1660.

This is a screen capture of the City Hall I have 'constructed'. Details will be added to the map before it's considered complete.

This is the Google street view of the Catedral de San Juan Bautista, which was built from 1521 to 1540.

This is my build of the Catedral (Cathedral) from my map.

This is La Fortaleza, the official residence of the Governor of Puerto Rico. Built between 1533 and 1540, it is touted as "the oldest executive mansion in continuous use in the New World".

This is my build of La Fortaleza, as it was in 1660. While the structure is complete, the surrounding grounds will get details before the map is complete.

Built in 1521, La Casa Blanca was originally the home built for Ponce De Leon and his family. This photo is of the stable building as it exists today. While I have reproduced all the La Casa Blanca, the dense foliage around the property made it difficult to get photos that I could match up with screen captures of my build. This image is from Google street view.

This is my build of the same building, as was believed to appear in 1660.

This is a North/South street of townhouses, built to match the Spanish Colonial architectural style of the time and location.

Similarly, these are shops of the appropriate style for Old San Juan, on an East/West street.

This is a large government building that I had to come up with on my own, since actual diagrams and plans of governmental buildings from 1660 Old San Juan don't seem to exist.

This is what will be a town square in Old San Juan, nearly completed. Details such as trees, merchants, their merchandise, etc. will all be added before it's done.

This is the inside of a theater I built for the game. It's design was my own, but it was based on a few diagrams I was able to find of theaters existing in the 17th century.

There is some very nice work here. I notice though that there are some proportional inaccuracies (granted, I know that most people would not notice subtle scale differences) but I am wondering what software you are using for the modelling and in what engine this game is being made in. Looks good so far! I look forward to seeing more.
