Seven years in just under nine minutes. This will be my last big project. After two observatories and the steel iron man suit, it's time to retire and let the next generation build from here.

The artificial horizon gauge in space always gave me a chuckle.

I always figured it was synced with their Battlestar's horizontal plane. That and Vipers are capable of atmospheric flight, so it's likely for planetside sorties.

When they were selling off the props from the set, one of the items on auction was Admiral Kane's knife - actually there were two of them (one new, the second distressed), and I seriously considered bidding, but in the end didn't. IIRC, it sold for ~$3500, and I often wonder who wound up with it, and where they have it now...

I have a soft spot for the Mark I Viper, because I grew up with it. Made the model and actually cut the opaque cockpit canopy, then affixed clear plastic panels for windows. Cannibalized a cockpit seat & controls from another model too.
Your Mark II Viper looks amazing! What an experience. Love the touch of the working turbo fans (for atmospheric use). In what year did you feel "accelerated" due to achieving a certain milestone in the build?
