Its loose in the nut. Step 1 turn off. Step 2 remove old nut. Step 3 twist wires together with lineman pliers. Step 4 put new nut on.

I’m afraid that this is not the right cable for these nuts. They are for solid cable and not for stranden (VD in dutch) 1/2
Apart from that, the cable insulation looks molten so the damaged parts needs to be cut of.

More like lose connection. It's been connecting unconnecting inside the red thingie making sparks, heating it up over time.
